24 channel mixing board, 7 mixes, 7 monitor wedges, sufficient power, a power distribution box is best. We need a 16x20 stage or space, 14 microphones total 3 of which are for vocals and we prefer wireless. Need 2-3 direc boxes. Parking for at least 10 cars.

Street level access, parking, distance from parking to setup location, elevators, band space, stage size.

We have some lighting for the band only.

We can provide a connection through our sound system for a device (someone needs to be in control of the playlist, etc.)

Biggest gig we've ever had has been Festival de la Calle 8 in Miami, 2 years in a row. Best venue we have worked at was the Historic Lincoln Theatre in Washington, DC.

Personally as the band leader, started signing as a kid, professionally at age 10 and haven't stopped. With my band, we formed in 1998 and have been going strong since.

Our latin roots have been influenced by artists like Jose Feliciano, Wilfrido Vargas, Pedro Infante overall but as it relates to tropical music which is what we play, more modern artists like Grupo Mania, Elvis Crespo, Jerry Rivera. Greatest song of all time for me is John Lennon's Imagine.

Pablo Antonio y La Firma's band members come from different backgrounds and it is that mix that gives us a unique flavor and sound. We have members from the USA, Central and South America as well as the caribbean.

Typical setup is a minimum of 2.5 hours pre event start time, not playing start time, to setup all the main equipment prior to guests arriving. We normally perform a maximum of 3X45 minute sets and adapt depending on client's schedule we can make 2X60 sets or take shorter breaks, etc. Tear down is approximately 1.5 hrs after event ends.

We love performing outside.

For the most part it is set but if a client has a very special request, as long as it is one of the genres we play, we'll make arrangements for up to 2 songs of their choice. We do take into consideration the client's taste, attendee race mix, nationalities before preparing the set list for each event.

Tropical music is a broad term for dance music but in mainly focuses on 4 genres which are Merengue, Salsa, Cumbia and Bachata. We mainly play the first 3 but can do some bachata if needed.
