Philip Godfrey is a Gauteng-based acoustic musician and singer performing at weddings, corporate events, private functions and special occasions throughout Johannesburg, Pretoria and across South Africa.
His performances combine live acoustic guitar and vocals with a broad repertoire of familiar modern favourites and timeless classics, reimagined in a warm, stripped-back style. Philip adapts his song choices, volume and energy to suit the occasion. From relaxed background music for wedding canapés and corporate networking to more upbeat performances for celebrations and private functions.

I opened for the Lumineers on their South African tour, as part of the duo Bad Peter.
I love any event where people enjoy the music. Sometimes it's in a background vibe way, other times they really get into it and the energy lifts. Wedding, corporate or private event alike.
I started gigging while studying and it sort of just went from there. Toured with a duo called Bad Peter for a decade, playing festivals and great events all over the country. Now I've taken that main stage experience and channeled it into something for the wedding, corporate and private event industry.
