| Karaoke Queen = $75 per hour (plus travel) for x1 singer / D.J + gear: screen, x2 microphones, speakers etc. | $75 (NZD) |
Purple Fever has several options: I am a female artist who has been 'in the business' for over twenty years.
KARAOKE SHOW: over 155,000 song choices (included is a monitor to sing in front of) + I sing a H-U-G-E genre of music
1) As background music to an event; where I / we sing for your entertainment: decade birthday parties, weddings etc.
2) One-off entertainment at Rest Homes / Regular dates at venues such as restaurants or cafes i.e. once a month on a sunny summer's afternoon is quite delightful to have background music whilst dining...!!
3) Karaoke D.J - join in the fun and host a singing party of your own:
= areas covered (up to 25 miles)We have such an extensive database that I cannot list over 155,000 songs on this list. And what we don't have, we may be able to source for you on the internet at the venue.
Karaoke = you sing, we provide backtracks, and we have too many...however, if you are looking at me singing for you at an event, I would say that I can do and know well: hundreds of songs, so again, too may to list here.
Let me know your favourites beforehand and I can practice them for your special night...!!
We need a performance space of at least 2.5m x 2.5m. We have all our own gear, but require power sockets close-by. We have our own screen but (most of the time) also the ability to can hook up to existing screens at venues, depending on connection compatibility.
We need to know any directions that will help us find the venue, and find the right place to load in our equipment. And we would require entry to said venue at least an hour before the performance please - for set-up & testing time.
Yes, we’re completely self contained. We bring our own PA system to all of our gigs. We do not have lighting gear...yet...
Yes, we’re happy to play music from our extensive repertoire before, after and between our sets. We’re happy to choose the music ourselves, or let the client choose the music.
The biggest gig I've done: I performed at the Hamilton Blues Festival, in front of around 1,000 people, and also another satisfying gig was the International Blues Day performance - I was heavily involved in the Blues Society at one point...but that genre is not all I am...!!
We love playing at all sorts of events but private parties & weddings are our favourite! The guests are always happy, because they are celebrating, and it’s easy to get them dancing, and singing along. I love making people smile & help them forget their troubles for a few hours ~ it's really rewarding to see people enjoying themselves.
I started via the Hamilton Blues Society; therefore I fell into the Blues genre - however, I am open to all genres and am currently working on an album with a variety of styles.
There are so many wonderful songs in the world, it is difficult to pin down an absolute favourite, but I love Tennessee Whiskey by Chris Stapleton, Midnight Train to Georgia by Gladys Knight & the Pips, Give Me One Reason by Tracy Chapman, Mustang Sally by The Commitments, Black Velvet by Alannah Myles, Make It Rain by Ed Sheeran, Unchained Melody by The Righteous Brothers, What's Up by 4 Non Blondes, Pride & Joy by Stevie Ray Vaughan, I Put A Spell on You by Nina Simone, I'd Rather Go Blind by Etta James, Skyfall by Adele, Summertime by Gershwin, Turn Me On by Norah Jones, & Jolene by Dolly Parton = my top x15 choices to sing.
YES, Purple Fever is also band...and details will be coming at a later time. However, we are not yet ready to release a starting date for gigs = SO WATCH THIS SPACE...!!
We normally like to arrive an hour before the performance to set up. We normally perform 3 x 60 minute sets. We’re happy to play a bit longer or shorter but we’ve found that these set times suit us and our audiences best ~ because we charge by the hour, it's always negotiable on the day/night, if everyone is having too much fun...however, we don't play past 11p.m, due to packing down & travelling time home.
We’re happy to play outside but we ask for shade, a flat level surface and a power supply close to the performance area...however, in saying that, we have done so in the past and have found that indoor gigs seem better attended, have proper room to dance, have more interaction, and better acoustics. Outside the sound gets lost a bit.
We can't learn originals as they are not on our backtracks database. The clients are welcome to pick a set list from our repertoire or let us choose the music for them ~ we have over 155,000 song choices, and if we are able to hook into the internet at the venue, then we can work off You Tube also, if we don't have what they want. We will always do our very best to accommodate the host's wishes, and to make their event 'exactly how we dreamed it would be'.
Previous customers would describe us as a lively duo that loves to get the audience on their feet dancing, singing, and participating.
