René's mix 'n mingle, strolling and table magic is best suited to weddings and corporate events including exhibitions and conferences. The possible duration is between one hour and a whole day depending on requirements and number of people. For close-up magic, there are tricks with playing cards, cups, balls, rubber bands, fruit, cutlery, bottles and paper, among other things.
The after-dinner or cabaret show is available in either 10, 15, 20, 30 or 45-minute duration. In the after-dinner show, amazing illusions are combined with clever comedy, astounding magic, audience involvement, visual gages and wordplay and presented with a dry wit seldom encountered among Germans! René spent 16 of his formative years growing up in London.

I enjoy intimate events a little bit more and specialise in close-up magic. However, if sound and lighting works, I can play in any situation.
I became interested in magic after seeing a magician at a friend's birthday party when I was about six. I did my first paid gig at age 16 and continued whilst at university. I have been a full-time magician since about 2001 and have performed at numerous venues from ski slopes to international magic contests in Korea. I've also worked at the renowned Magic Castle in Hollywood.
For the after-dinner show, I normally arrive 60 min beforehand unless an earlier sound check is requested. For only the close-up magic, 20-30 before is enough.
Performance times close-up table magic one hour to whole day. Stage shows available in choice of 10, 15, 20, 30 or 45 minutes.
I'm happy to perform outside as long as it's not too windy. If very hot, there needs to be shade for myself and the audience. Alternatively, I can do a shorter set.
I can make up props with company logos for use in performance (upon request).

Yes, I'm also fluent in French and Spanish (BA Hons.) and have a working knowledge of Japanese. However, I can only perform close-up magic in Japanese, not the stage show.
If you already know the date you want me, it's best to book now. I can reserve dates if you ask me to, i.e. if you are awaiting a response from your boss. Otherwise, the rule is first come, first served. Obviously the Christmas season (mid November to the run-up to Christmas is more popular than other time and requires planning further ahead. But you may also be lucky if you book at the last minute. It's best to just enquire and I'll be happy to check availability.
