I played in a dance band for many years when living abroad, large audiences. I now play solo gigs to smaller audiences and make it a much more personal event.
solo gigs but that doesn't mean I'm shy of crowds - I just prefer to play solo, regardless of the size of the audience. So I'd say, venues where I can get the audience involved and where I can get a personal feel to the place
I started gigging 30 years ago - so a lot of experience, as a band member and as a solo artist
Bon Jovi, James Taylor, Brian Adams, Bread, S Wonder, E Clapton, Adele, Stereophonics, RadioHead, J Denver, Littlel Bug Town, R Marx, ...all these artists create a bond with the audience and this is what I try to emulate when I play
