Last summer, we were delighted with the performance of saxophonist / clarinettist Rory and pianist exploring the music of George Gershwin. This summer, Rory enchanted the audience with his fusion of acoustic Latin with Brazilian music, jazz and soul and the arrangements were tastefully orchestrated with guitar and percussion. It made for an engaging performance. We hope to have him back again soon!

Rory provided an ideal backdrop to our charity drinks reception. The choice of music was perfect for the occasion and enjoyed by all our guests.

I booked Rory to play at a Rotary Club of London event in 2019. He arrived in time, played as discussed and was an all round terrific success, liked by all the attendees.

We were very happy with the performance. It was a lovely addition to our event. And as Matt said, the band was fabulous! We will reach out again for any events like this in the future.

Rory (Alto Saxophone and Flute) and his trio created the perfect Jazz Trio for our family anniversary party. Before the event we were able to discuss the music and tailor it perfectly for the day. They had some great ideas to make it special and included many of selected favourite songs. They are obviously talented musicians, they looked great and played with a relaxed style in keeping with the occasion!

We were very happy with the performance and felt it added a lovely ambience to the champagne reception. Everything went very smoothly. Many thanks again for providing the jazz trio.

Thanks for booking Rorys Jazz band, I have used them on 3 separate occasions and every time they have performed brilliantly! The buzz they have created in the airport has been fantastic and the quality of their performance have drawn in considerably large audiences. They have been hugely adaptable which was evident to see when they performed jazz style Christmas carols! I will definitely be booking them again this year.

Rory were a fantastic part of our recent 40th birthday celebration. Not only was the music excellent, they put a great deal of effort into finding and playing Jazz that fitted the era we asked for. Communication with the band in advance was easy and they were very helpful as we prepared for the night. On the night itself they were excellent. The music was perfect, professionally delivered and the band made our guests feel at ease and welcome on the dance floor. Thank you. Wed definitely recommend and use again.

Rory played at our NYE party, he was professional and had a wide range of jazz and swing to play for us. All of our guests enjoyed his music and the staff did too! Rory was excellent!

Through the 11 years that I have known Rory both as a friend and colleague, I have found him to possess many excellent qualities. He is extremely organised and pays close attention to detail. I have worked in his band Diaspora since 2013 and found him to be very efficient in running his production company Red & Black Music. The events are always diligently co-ordinated with all the operational info sent out well in advance, so we always know what to expect.
I have found Rory to be very reliable and always keeps his word. I think he would be a great asset to any music or arts organisation. He has a wealth of knowledge to impart to peers from his years of music-making. His approach is fun and engaging whilst bringing lots of ideas to the table.

Hes an exceptionally talented musician. Anyone who can fathom those Latin jazz changes has to be some kind of genius...

Rory was an excellent addition to our wedding! He is very talented performing on both the saxophone during the drinks reception and on the grand piano throughout dinner! He seamlessly set the tone perfectly! He acted very professionally setting up in advance discreetly and welcoming the guests into the venue raising the vibe!

Rory were great at our wedding. First, they were super-flexible, fitting in with our somewhat fluid plan for the day! But most importantly, all our guests loved the accompaniment they provided to our special afternoon at Holdsworth House. We hired Rory at very short notice to perform at my Mothers Birthday Breakfast. The team were incredibly efficient and had our booking secure within a day. Rory arrived perfectly on time and set up quickly and independently. He played the saxophone beautifully and took note of our requests which really made the moment very special for us. Rory was incredibly professional and we look forward to hearing him play for us again soon.

Rorys timekeeping was exceptional, arriving over an hour before the start time. His set was very professional offering various genres in his performance. His sax was really the life and soul of the party. He was very energetic moving about the room and getting involved with the audience.

Very happy with the overall communication before the event & easy to liaise with you and confirm requirements, timings etc. You arrived early which was great to help get everything set up in time for the evening. The music itself was great and we had plenty of comments from people to say how much they enjoyed it & you played exactly the kind of music we were after and really felt the vibe of the room. You adapted to when we needed specific breaks during the meal for awards and was always a really smooth transition.
Overall we were extremely happy with the service you offered and the performance in general. Would definitely repeat book if we had another similar need/event!

I booked Rory as a surprise for my partners 50th birthday party through Warble Entertainment in our local pub. He loves a sax player so I knew he would love it! We spoke before the event and made arrangements for Rory to arrive at the venue. There was a train strike so Rory kindly arrived extra earlier so not to be late. Rory played a set for 2 hours which was amazing a mix of different tunes. Everyone loved him including my partner who almost had a solo sax player playing to him!!! He is super talented and joined in with the guests who enjoyed his performance and have not stopped talking about it since! I would highly recommend Rory and thank him for making our event extra special!

I have been meaning to e-mail to let you know how great my do was and Rory made it extra special. Hearing him play was such a surprise for my guests they all loved his music... Rory was the icing on the cake for my 40th birthday celebrations. We had afternoon tea at Fanhams Hall Hotel with Rory playing the saxophone as my guests entered the venue and and throughout the afternoon while we ate our afternoon tea. I asked Rory for Christmas music and jazz to go with my birthday celebrations as it was three days before Christmas and he played amazingly. All my guests were so impressed with Rorys set of lungs as he played for hours. Rory made the atmosphere amazing and I would definitely recommend him. We had Rory play sax at our garden party for c. 100 guests in July. It was a hit! Although, I booked only a few days in advance it all worked out very well. Booking team was very supportive. Rory connected in advance to get a sense of the type of party, age and help decide the right playlist. On the day of the event, he came on time to set things up and was flexible to accommodate our requests. I am very happy with my decision to have live music at the party and have Rory take care of it. Highly recommended!
