“The Skelters” is a rock band. In the beginning the band's name was “The Crickets”, later changed their name to “The Skelters” using the second component of the Beatles' song titled "Helter Skelter".
They have made over 3000 live appearances in Thessaloniki, in Athens, and in others places throughout Greece and also in a number of festivals (River Party, Porto Carras, Moni Lazariston etc), beach bars and hotels. They have also participated in many formal city events and appeared in many Greek TV Channels and interviewed in many Greek radio stations .
One of their best qualifications is not only the great show and the dancing mood they always offer to the audiences, by singing numerous '50s, '60s, '70s, 80s, Rock 'n Roll, Pop, Classic Rock, Disco hits but the unlimited vocal skills and their smooth vocals (constantly having the Beatles and the Queen as their idols). Besides, “The Skelters” have long made a big impression with their successful tribute nights to many artists like the Beatles, John Lennon, the U2, the Queen or Elvis Presley.
Currently, the band gives live concerts at many clubs throughout Greece. You can listen to their songs through the radio or on many TV shows.
The band has collaborated with other musicians and artists, such as ZZ Top, Pavlov's Dog, Louisiana Red, Paul Di Anno, Don Dokken, Iron Butterfly, Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel and Puressence.
They are mainly influenced by: The Beatles, U2, Queen, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, Oasis, Bruce Springsteen,Tom Petty, Bee Gees, Elvis Presley, Little Richard, the '50s, '60s, '70s and '80s.
In June 2009 they released their first album titled "Explain to Me".
In October 2016 2009 they released their second album titled "Revive".
