Sonya Jevette Performance Packages Terms & Conditions 1. Booking Confirmation A signed performance agreement and a non-refundable retainer of 50% of the total performance fee are required to secure the event date. No date is considered reserved until both the signed agreement and retainer have been received. The remaining balance is due 14 days prior to the event date unless otherwise stated in writing. 2. Performance Rates Package pricing is based on the services outlined in the selected package. Additional performance time, travel, equipment, rehearsals, or special requests may result in additional fees. All quoted prices are subject to applicable taxes where required. 3. Overtime If additional performance time is requested during the event and Sonya Jevette is available to extend the performance, overtime will be billed at: • $500 per additional hour • Partial hours are billed in one-hour increments. 4. Travel Travel within the Austin metropolitan area is included unless otherwise specified. Events outside the Austin area may include: • Mileage • Airfare • Hotel accommodations • Ground transportation • Parking • Per diem (for overnight travel) Destination events require a customized travel quote. 5. Venue Requirements The client is responsible for providing: • Safe performance area • Access to standard electrical power • Weather protection for outdoor performances • Adequate parking and load-in access • Climate-controlled environment when appropriate Outdoor performances require adequate shelter from rain, excessive heat, wind, or direct sunlight to protect equipment and ensure performer safety. 6. Setup & Sound Check Unless otherwise agreed: • Access to the venue is required 60–90 minutes prior to performance time. • Larger events may require additional setup time. Delays caused by venue restrictions may affect scheduled performance times. 7. Music Selection Clients may request music from Sonya Jevette's repertoire of more than 300 songs. Reasonable song requests are welcomed. Learning new songs not currently in the repertoire may require additional rehearsal fees. Custom playlists for cocktail hours and performance breaks are included in qualifying packages. 8. Event Changes Changes to event location, performance times, or schedule should be communicated as soon as possible. Significant changes may require an updated agreement and additional fees. 9. Client Cancellation Because performance dates are reserved exclusively for each client: • Retainers are non-refundable. • Cancellations made within 30 days of the event remain responsible for the full contracted balance unless otherwise agreed. • If the event is rescheduled and Sonya Jevette is available, payments may be applied toward the new date within 12 months. 10. Artist Cancellation In the unlikely event Sonya Jevette is unable to perform due to illness, emergency, or circumstances beyond her control, every reasonable effort will be made to provide a comparable professional musician. If a suitable replacement cannot be secured, all payments received will be refunded in full. This refund constitutes the client's sole remedy. 11. Force Majeure Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to: • Severe weather • Natural disasters • Government restrictions • Acts of terrorism • Public health emergencies • Venue closures • Transportation disruptions • Labor strikes Both parties agree to work in good faith toward rescheduling whenever possible. 12. Photography & Promotion Unless requested otherwise in writing, Sonya Jevette may use photographs, short video clips, and event descriptions from the performance for promotional purposes, including websites, social media, and marketing materials. Private events requiring confidentiality should notify the artist before the event. 13. Meals For performances exceeding four consecutive hours, the client agrees to provide one vendor meal and reasonable access to drinking water. 14. Client Responsibilities The client is responsible for obtaining any permits, venue approvals, licenses, or permissions required by the venue. The client is also responsible for ensuring a safe environment for performers and equipment. 15. Liability Sonya Jevette maintains professional care and responsibility for all equipment supplied. The client accepts responsibility for damage caused by guests, venue staff, or third parties to equipment provided by Sonya Jevette. 16. Performance Environment The artist reserves the right to pause or discontinue a performance if conditions become unsafe, including but not limited to: • Threatening behavior • Unsafe electrical conditions • Extreme weather • Fire hazards • Venue safety concerns Such interruptions shall not constitute a breach of contract. 17. Recording & Broadcasting Audio or video recording intended for commercial use, livestreaming, television, advertising, or broadcast requires prior written approval from Sonya Jevette. Personal photos and brief social media videos are welcomed. 18. Agreement Booking a Sonya Jevette Performance Package indicates acceptance of these Terms & Conditions. These terms become part of the performance agreement and supersede any prior verbal discussions unless otherwise stated in writing.
