Tex & The Troubadours 1959’s Rock n Roll Dance Band

Tex & The Troubadours are a Rock n Roll three piece dance band from the south coast of England.
The band is made up of well known musicians from the Rock n Roll / Jive dancing scene.
Members of the band have clocked in many years of performing with other bands and musicians such as drummer Kenney Jones ( The Small Faces, The Faces, Rod Stewart, The Who ), Jackie Lynton, Johnny Earl’s Swing me Baby Show Band, Greggi G & His Crazy Gang, The Backbeat Jivers, The Firetones, Freakpower (Number 5 Top 40 hit 1994 ), Glenn Darren & The Crew Cats to name a few.
The band is made up of Mark Preston ( Tex ) on Guitar and main vocal, Nicky Peck on double bass and vocals and Nigel Barber on Drums and backing vocals.
Through their years of experience Tex & The Troubadours are able to perform jive and stroll numbers to the exact speeds that are advantageous for dancers and with energy and excitement that thrills audiences.
The band have already performed at the Retro Festival in Newbury as well as some of the best dance clubs in the country, already receiving repeat bookings.
Their diary is getting busy due to both the stature of the musicians involved in the band and the electric performances the band have presented so far.
Tex & The Troubadours will raise the roof, have the dance floor filled and put in a memorable set at your club, weekender or festival.
As a three piece band they are able to be reasonable of cost, are very personable and friendly and are one of the hardest working bands on the scene.
