Born of a passion for rock, The Grungle is a tribute act from Montreal, bringing the greatest anthems of the 80s, 90s and 2000s to local stages. With their boundless energy and undeniable musical complicity, the band members revisit rock classics with power and authenticity.
From Guns N' Roses to Nirvana, to Weezer, System of a Down and Green Day, and everything in between, The Grungle offer a sonic journey through the decades that have shaped modern rock. Their setlist, both nostalgic and hard-hitting, appeals as much to die-hard fans as to new generations eager for electric riffs and unifying choruses.

We need to know any directions that will help us find the venue and find the right place to load in our equipment. We’d also need to be informed of the load in time, sound check schedule and if there’s a sound limiter in the venue.

Yes, we’re happy to play music from Spotify before, after and between our sets. We’re happy to choose the music ourselves or let the client choose the music.
We performed in a 'battle of the bands' competition at Chez Maurice in Saint Lazare, QC and the stage was the biggest that we had ever played on at the time. The sound tech and lighting tech were both phenomenal, there was a very large crowd who were loud and wonderful, and we displayed our best performance ever that night!
We love all show opportunities, but private parties catered to our genre, and outdoor festivals of all types would definitely be our favorite type of event to perform at.
The Grungle have been a group for approximately 5 years and have performed all over greater Montreal, including north and south shores.
There are so many to list. From RHCP to Guns N' Roses to Nirvana, to Weezer, System of a Down and Green Day, and everything in between. We pay tribute to many of these artists in our sets, along with several other greats.
Since 2020
We normally arrive 2 to 4 hours before the performance to set up and perform a sound check. We normally perform 2 x 45 minutes or 2 x 60 minute sets. We’re happy to play a bit longer or shorter to accommodate the requests of the venue / hosts, but we’ve found that these set times suit us and our audiences best.
We’re happy to play outside but we ask for shade, a flat level surface and a power supply close to the performance area.
We typically come with a set list pre-arranged. But we can learn specific songs before the event upon special request, this would be limited to 5 songs with at least a month's notice. The clients are welcome to pick a set list from our repertoire or let us choose the music for them.

Yes, the host can view our catalog prior to the show to request any song in particular that they would like us to play. Or, they can request something new with at least 1 month's notice, up to 5 new songs that are not listed in our catalog.
