When I was traveling with a chamber choir in my 20s, I performed at the Mondsee in Salzburg, Austria. If the name doesn't sound familiar, it's the church that Maria and the Captain got married in in the musical The Sound Of Music. The sound was glorious. It was so beautiful! I'd seen the movie every Christmas growing up, so it was such a joy to see it from every angle.
I love corporate events. It makes me happy to see everyone getting along and having the best time together. No stress. No talk of deadlines or reports. Just good fun, good company, good food and good music. I enjoy seeing everyone let their hair down.
I've been performing in jazz bands since I was 15. Started off with high school jazz bands and went from there to Blues bands, r&b, reggae and so on.
I would have to say Stevie Wonder. Mary j. Blige. Honestly, so many it's too hard to say. I don't know who my favorite is, or the greatest song, but if you tell me yours, we'll try to play it!
We like to have time to set up early. Some of the players have a good deal of equipment.
We typically play for 2 hours. But we're happy to adjust longer or shorter for most of the band arrangements with appropriate compensation.
We’re happy to play outside in temperate weather but we ask for shade, a flat level surface and a power supply close to the performance area.
We can learn specific songs before the event but we usually limit this to 5 songs. The clients are welcome to pick a set list from our repertoire, choose from our list of genres or let us choose the music for them.
