My name is Tucker James Callander! I am a classically trained violinist with a degree in violin performance from Syracuse University. I have been performing fulltime in the Northeast for the past 15 years. I specialize in wedding ceremonies and cocktail hours and have done over 250 to date! With my experience, I am happy to help guide you through the ins and outs of the wedding ceremony and cocktail hour and help to make it exactly what you want!
I am unique in that I am not just a classical violinist. I am a seasoned musician who plays professionally with multiple different groups ranging from jazz to bluegrass to Irish to pop. Some of my groups are Hot Club of Saratoga, The Silver Arrow Band, Get Up Jack and The Bluebillies. I am different in that I can be your traditional solo classical violinist but can also offer a string quartet that plays Taylor Swift and Mozart or a great jazz trio for cocktail hour. I could add in a little bit of Irish/Celtic music if you wanted or a bluegrass cocktail hour. The violin is such a versatile instrument that can speak many different languages of music and I have worked hard over the years to learn many of them. I have a great group of musicians I work with that I can add on in addition to my violin. If you decide to choose me, I promise to work hard for you and be responsive to any of your questions!

One of my best gigs was playing at Freihoffer Jazz Fest at SPAC with my group Hot Club of Saratoga. Another great gig was performing at MVP arena with The Transiberian Orchestra! That was fun! Also touring Italy with my Irish band Get Up Jack!
I generally just love to play! But I do really enjoy wedding ceremonies and private events where I can be a part of creating the vibe and mood to help people relax and enjoy themselves!
I have a degree from Syracuse University in Violin Performance. I have been performing since I was 6 years old on violin. I have been doing it a long time! I have done over 250 wedding ceremonies and have done probably a couple thousand gigs and performances at this point!
Thats a tough one! I love all sorts of music and I don't think I could pick one artist. I love The Eagles and The Beatles for their vocal harmonies and song writing. I have always loved Adele from her early years. I used to listen to Snoop Dogg a lot haha. Some other honorable mentions.... Joni Mitchell, Phish, Taylor Swift ( I have an 8 year old daughter) and Debussy.
I usually arrive about an hour and 15 minutes prior to performance. For a wedding ceremony, I provide 30 minutes of prelude music as guests arrive in addition to the actual ceremony.
Yes I am happy to perform outside if the weather is not too cold. A temperature above 55 degrees. I need cover from rain and some shade from the sun if it is really hot outside please.
