I entertain people of all ages, using a mixture of styles, for weddings, private parties, churches, social and community occasions and other events. I especially enjoy small or informal gatherings.
My repertoire includes items from folk, gospel, Rock N Roll, rock, pop, and soul, and songs from the 1880s, 1920s, 1930s, 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, and a few others, including a few recent songs.
I usually perform unamplified, but can utilise any microphone or sound system at a venue if necessary (but, having busked a lot, I can tell you it is not often necessary).
I have also recently acquired equipment that allows me to perform slightly amped, or to plug into a mixer or amp of yours.
My main uke is a small (soprano size) one. I also use a small banjolele, and ukes from tiny to tenor sizes, and even sometimes a tenor banjo.
I am free to discuss with you exactly what you want, and whether I can do it. If you're not sure, ask me anyway, I have no problem if my music doesn't fit what you want.
I have tried to give as much detail as I can on my listing, but it obviously doesn't include everything. Send me a message if necessary.

None. Can connect to your sound system; perform un-amped, or slightly amped.
No power supply required (battery amp can be used), but power supply can be used. Performance space for music stand, and enough room for me to move about. If outside, some sort of sun-cover or rain cover might be required, but I can cope with a few spots of rain.
Basic information, including whether the sound has a built-in sound system, and any details if possible. Size and type of room or space. Possible nearby parking for if I attend the event by car. Directions to venue, including who to ask for.
No. I do have a minimal sound setup, but no other sound or lighting gear, as not generally needed. I can utilises any equipment at a venue, though.
No.
Can't really say. But I've had some great informal gigs. Had great fun last Christmas playing and singing walking down a (moving) Santa steam train.
Small and informal events. Community events and venues. Outdoors is often good.
Decided to pick up an instrument in my 50s. Learnt a bit. Then started off by busking. Still do so. Most of my bookings come from people who see me busking, and my first ones happened in that way.
Difficult to pinpoint one person, as I have had help from local musicians you won't know, and I cover all sorts of things from ABBA to Elton John to George Formby. And, as for song, it'll probably be one from the 1920s that you won't have heard of (probably a toss-up between 'A little nightie hanging on the line' and 'How could Red Riding Hood').
Minimal setup time required. Performance times flexible. Will arrive shortly beforehand if I don't know the venue to work out how to set up, and what the acoustics are like. If practicable, I sometimes even visit the venue previously.
Yes. However, you might need to allow for an indoor alternative if it tips down with rain. A few spots won't put me off. Or basic rain cover (stage/overhang/gazebo) for me would be fine. Although I am used to busking in the open, if this is a garden or field environment, amplification might be necessary, as the sound would tend to get lost.
I can, with notice, accommodate a small amount of requests, and sometimes manage a request on the day. But my wide repertoire usually entertains a wide range of people, and I can customise the setlist. I also am aware of what people respond to on the day, so always have spare songs of different types to vary it accordingly.
Great fun.
Short answer: Yes.
Longer answer: I hope to be able to discuss in advance what you need, but things can always change in the runup to an event or on the day. If that effects venue, timings, choice of songs, or anything else, I will try to accommodate it where I can. (Things like being informed of a birthday in the crowd, or a person's favourite song, are usually easy to accommodate, for example.) In the vast majority of cases, this is without any cost, as that is the point of entertainment, to entertain the particular group on the day. I can usually extend the period of play or number of sets required, and will often do this for little extra cost (obviously, I can't extend a gig if it encroaches on something else I need to do, though).
