Uptown Coverband is a professional live cover band from the Rotterdam area in South Holland. We perform at corporate events, company parties, weddings and private celebrations throughout the Netherlands.
Our seven-piece line-up features three vocalists, guitar, keys, bass and drums. We play disco and soul classics, pop, dance, rock and Dutch favourites, with flowing medleys that build the energy and keep guests on the dance floor. Our signature medleys and well-paced sets build the energy throughout the evening.
Choose three 45-minute live sets or two 60-minute sets, spread across your event. Our playlists keep the music going before, between and after the sets. Professional sound and basic stage lighting for venues of up to approximately 200 guests are included. For a reception, networking event, wedding ceremony or dinner, our compact acoustic Uptown XS line-up offers a more relaxed atmosphere. You can also add the Uptown DJ, a saxophonist, a light show or our nine-piece XL line-up. We are happy to prepare a first dance or special request in advance.
Since 2020, Uptown Coverband has performed at more than 200 events across the Netherlands. We coordinate timing and technical details with your venue or planner, with one point of contact from the first enquiry to the final song. Share your date, venue and plans through Gig Heaven and we will suggest a tailored programme and quote.

For the seven-piece band, a clear, stable performance area of approximately 4 m wide by 3 m deep is ideal; for Uptown XL, approximately 5 m by 4 m. We prefer at least 2.5 m of clear height, two separate grounded 230 V / 16 A power circuits within 10 m, and practical access for loading and unloading. Smaller or different spaces can be discussed in advance.
Please share the venue address, guest count, event schedule, available stage dimensions, power supply, load-in route, parking arrangements and any sound limiter or curfew. We coordinate the technical plan directly with your venue or event planner.
Yes. We bring professional sound and basic stage lighting for indoor events of up to approximately 200 guests. We can also connect to a venue system or arrange a larger sound system and upgraded lighting for bigger events.
Yes. Our own playlists keep the music going before, between and after the live sets. For a fully mixed programme with audience interaction and requests, you can add the Uptown DJ.
One memorable corporate performance was for Arcadis at Studio 21 in Hilversum, where the room was dancing from the opening notes. We have also played at the ss Rotterdam and Maassilo in Rotterdam, De Rode Hoed in Amsterdam, and The Harbour Club in The Hague. Each venue has its own character, so we plan the musical flow and technical setup accordingly.
We love playing at corporate celebrations and weddings, whether we are part of a larger programme or bringing the music to a more intimate party. At either kind of event, we enjoy connecting with the guests and building the energy during our performance until the dance floor comes alive.
Uptown Coverband has been performing since 2020 and has played more than 200 events across the Netherlands. Our experienced musicians work together as a seven-piece live band with three vocalists, with compact and XL line-ups available to suit the event.
There isn’t one song that defines an Uptown show. We love the moment different generations meet on the dance floor. Our live medleys bring together soul, funk and dance classics with Queen and Spice Girls, Beyoncé’s “Run the World (Girls)” and “Crazy in Love”, and hits by Bruno Mars and Jennifer Lopez. The energy builds with songs such as “Levitating”, “Get Right”, “Don’t Start Now”, “Titanium” and “Where Have You Been”. Dutch-language favourites can be part of the set when they suit the occasion. We plan the repertoire and flow with you beforehand, then respond to the room’s energy as we perform.
For a regular evening show, we usually arrive about two hours before guests need the band, allowing time to load in, set up and soundcheck. We perform either 3 x 45-minute or 2 x 60-minute live sets across a four-hour evening programme, with music playing around the sets. Allow approximately one hour for pack-down. Other timings and extra sets can be arranged in advance.
Yes, we can perform outdoors or in a marquee when the performance area and equipment are fully covered and protected from wind and rain. We also need a safe, level playing surface and suitable power. We agree the details with the venue before the event.
Absolutely. Tell us about your audience, favourite styles and any songs you especially want to hear. We shape the show around the event and read the room as we play. A first dance or special request can be prepared in advance, subject to agreeing the arrangement and timing.
Clients often mention the energy on stage, the full dance floor and the way we adapt to the room. They also appreciate clear communication and smooth coordination with the venue or event planner.
Yes. Uptown XS provides relaxed live music for a ceremony, reception, networking event or dinner. The seven-piece Coverband or nine-piece Uptown XL can then take over for the dance party. We can combine line-ups and include any additional hours on site clearly in your tailored quote.
