The YEGByrds are a group of seasoned Edmonton musicians who simply love bringing great music to life. Our sound is a blend of the songs we grew up with and the classics that never go out of style—from the smooth lounge vibes of Ella Fitzgerald and Norah Jones to the upbeat, brass-filled energy of The Beatles, Hewey Louis, and Chicago.
At Heart, We are a Community Band.
Whether we are performing at a large summer festival, a local Community League fundraiser, or an intimate afternoon at a Senior’s residence, we take pride in connecting with our audience. We love the "big band" sound a full horn section brings, but we also value the small moments—playing the favorites people know by heart and putting our own soulful stamp on them.
We are proud to be part of Edmonton. We aim to be professional, easy to work with, and above all, a band that brings a little extra joy to every stage we’re invited to share.

We are completely self-contained. We bring all of our own sound equipment and lighting rig.
Yes, we're happy to play music from Spotify before, after and between our sets. We can choose the music or you can.

We started gigging about 5 years ago and developed our setlist over time. We have performed for all types of events small and large. We are entertainers first and foremost.
There are so many. Ella Fitzgerald, Kenny Burrell, The Beatles, Dolly Parton to name a few. We love Tin Turner's version of Proud Mary. Its a real crown pleaser
We normally arrive 2 hours before a performance to set up and do a sound check. We usually do 2 x 45 to 60 minute sets but we can adjust and play longer or shorter based on your needs.
Yes. We have performed for many outdoor events.
Clients can choose some of the music we play from our repertoire, but we love building our setlist based on the event.
