Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever worked at?

I’ve been fortunate to perform in a variety of venues and settings, and the best experiences have always come from events with strong crowd energy, solid production, and great collaboration between artists and organizers.

What's your favourite type of event?

I enjoy a wide range of events, from live venue performances and private parties to festivals and corporate events. My favorite environments are ones where great music and crowd energy come together naturally.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

My background includes live performances, collaborative band work, and adapting across multiple musical styles. I started gigging by connecting with artists and local music communities, and over time built a reputation for reliability, groove, and professionalism on stage.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

My biggest influences come from artists known for strong musicianship, originality, and unforgettable live performances. I admire musicians who create both technical excellence and emotional connection through music. Choosing one greatest song of all time is impossible, but timeless records are the ones that continue inspiring audiences and musicians decades later.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

To ensure a smooth and professional performance, I typically require 45–60 minutes for setup and soundcheck preparation. Performance duration is flexible and can be customized for live events, private functions, venues, or extended bookings

Are you happy to perform outside?

Yes, I’m happy to perform outdoors as long as suitable arrangements are in place to protect the equipment and ensure a good performance environment, such as cover from weather, access to power, and a stable performance area.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

I’m flexible . Clients can definitely make requests, and I can also work from a prepared setlist. I usually adjust based on the vibe of the event.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

I’m usually described as reliable, easy to work with, and solid on bass, with good groove and timing that supports the band well and keeps the performance tight.

How do you ensure a high-quality performance at every event?

I ensure a high-quality performance by preparing thoroughly in advance, including reviewing the setlist, rehearsing any new material, and confirming all technical requirements before the event. On the day, I arrive early to allow enough time for setup and soundcheck, which helps ensure a clean and balanced sound.
During the performance, I focus on tight timing, strong communication with the band, and adapting to the energy of the crowd to keep the set engaging. I also remain flexible so I can adjust in real time if needed, whether that’s extending sections, adjusting dynamics, or responding to audience interaction. My priority is always to deliver a consistent, professional performance that enhances the overall experience of the event.
