"We couldn’t have been happier with Alvar and his string quartet at our wedding. From the very first contact, Alvar was incredibly receptive and easy to communicate with, which made the whole planning process stress-free. The comprehensive song list he provided was brilliantly organised by category, making it straightforward for us to select the perfect pieces for each part of our day. Alvar was remarkably flexible with timing and was able to perform at all the key moments we’d hoped for. When our wedding ran slightly over schedule, he was more than happy to accommodate and wait so they could play at exactly the right moment. One of the real highlights was the three bespoke songs they learned especially for us. The way they arranged and performed these pieces was absolutely stunning and made the day feel incredibly personal and special. The quartet added so much to the atmosphere throughout – their performances were one of the standout moments of our entire wedding. Beyond their musical talent, they were a pleasure to work with. They liaised smoothly with our venue to ensure they could set up in the right locations, remained friendly and communicative throughout, and were thoroughly professional and competent in every way. We’d recommend Alvar and his quartet without hesitation – they helped made our day unforgettable."

"The Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the Museum of Contemporary Art have used free outdoor jazz programs to draw the public to their facilities, but representatives of the museums say that this summer sparked a banner year in terms of attendance. “It was incredible,” said Dorrance Stalvey, director of music programs at LACMA. “We had upward of 2,000 people at some shows.” The museum--in its fourth year of offering jazz on a weekly basis-presented such artists as Horace Tapscott, Dr. Art Davis and Cecilia Coleman at its Friday evening shows, and big bands led by Bill Berry, Gerald Wilson and Bill Holman on Sunday afternoon programs. “This program was by far the most successful we’ve had,” said Dawn Setzer, spokesperson for MOCA. “We averaged about 1,500 people a show,” a figure up considerably from previous years’ events. Setzer said the primary reason for the increased turnout was the high-profile strictly-jazz lineup, presented on 11 consecutive Thursdays, that included Charles McPherson, Billy Higgins and Teddy Edwards. LACMA continues its Friday evening shows throughout the year, currently spotlighting a retrospective of bands that have played there, plus new acts. ‘Trane Time: The annual John Coltrane Festival takes place tonight at 8 at the World Stage, 4344 Degnan Blvd. in Leimert Park. On tap will be Ravi Coltrane, Dr. Art Davis’ estimable quintet with Doug Webb and Phil Vieux, and others. Information: (213) 293-2451. Davis will also appear at a benefit for Better Advantages for Students and Society (BASS), which awards a scholarship in his name. "We had the pleasure of being introduced to Manee Valentine through a close friend in our group and we requested his entertainment services for our event, "Hooray for Hollywood" last February 26, 2022, @ the Carson event center. To our delight, his addition to the show was a total success. His professionalism and talent are instrumental to satisfying any and all audiences. "Dearest Aoife and Groove Machine Band I know you must hear it all the time... the "thank you's" and the "you're so wonderful's", and I know you've probably seen a bazillion pictures online already... But I wanted to say too, something that's often forgotten in all the hullabaloo: Just seeing you on that stage probably affected a lot of young men & women in a wonderful way and gave them a lot of strength and hope for their own futures. You gave a wonderful performance on Saturday and I'm so looking forward to seeing your shows more often. Until then; you have all my thanks and admiration. "Seems like they can play anything! They added the perfect touch to our daughter’s reception – even arranging and performing her favorite song. After seeing them perform elsewhere, we knew we had to have them! They made the ambiance soooooo elegant!"

"We had the absolute pleasure of having DJ Ale for our wedding after party in Sicily, and he completely surpassed all our expectations. From the start, Ale took the time to meet with us via video call, listened carefully to what we were looking for, and truly understood the vibe we wanted. Music was one of the most important parts of the night for me, and as someone who is extremely particular about music, I can confidently say that DJ Ale absolutely nailed it. His repertoire was incredible — a perfect mix of deep cuts, crowd favorites, and seamless transitions that kept the energy alive all night long. "Petronella played at our wedding ceremony and it was perfect! We did not want to have traditional organ music so we choose for Petronella and her Cello which we do not regret! She helped us pick suitable songs but was also very flexible and played and sang more modern pop songs in Dutch, Swedish and English. She really added that special touch to our ceremony and we would warmly recommend her. We, as well as our guests, were truly amazed both by her singing and playing."
