Review Centre: 2000s Era Musicians & Bands

"PonyStreet has been a staple in the Los Angeles area since 2012 when they appeared at the MLK holiday parade and celebrations with radio station KJLH sponsoring the festivities in the Historic Lemert park area. The two founding members Norman Street keyboards and Kensworth Perrigan vocals appeared in other bands like Soul City Players, and Higher Groove before creation of their own band and brand of original music and cover songs of the R&B era from 70's 80s 90's and millennium hits. They have performed in the KJLH radio food festivals that took place in the city's of Inglewood and Compton, Roscoe's restaurant in Long beach, private party's in Gardena and Elysian park and award dinners IN Los Angeles. They have a multitude of repertoire consisting of classic music with influences of Reggae, pop, R&B, blues, jazz and standard's from all over the world. The members read music and have been trained in some of the finest music education institutions in Los Angeles."

"I hired The Vibrators Band to perform on my 40th birthday celebration, that took place last Saturday, 10th of January 2026, in Porto - Portugal I was searching for Rock/Funk bands available in the country and immediately got captivated by their cover of the music "Kiss", by Prince. After a brief discussion over the phone, I asked them to perform on my birthday. From the first moment and music line-up, I got very confident that they were the right band. But no one was prepared for what they did. I mean, it was absolutely perfect. From the singer, who has a perfect mix between a power and pitch, to everyone else within the band, it was world class. I would also like to highlight someone who is often forgotten during these shows: the sound technician. I arrived to the venue 30 minutes before the start of the party, in time to be there for the sound check. The technician asked me for feedback and in my opinion the instruments over a bit too loud, and there was a risk to overpower the very strong voice of the lead singer. I provided this feedback, which they took to heart and they made sure that the sound was perfect for the performance. I am very glad I had The Vibrators performing in my celebration. It was just perfect."

"I had the chance to see SaxBonet performing live at an event and I was genuinely impressed. He has an incredible stage presence and knows exactly how to read the atmosphere. The cocktail part felt elegant and sophisticated, and when the party started he completely lifted the energy of the room. The way he integrates the saxophone with the DJ music feels modern and powerful, not intrusive, it really elevates the whole experience. I would absolutely recommend him for weddings or private celebrations."

"I recently attended the USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame dinner in Costa Mesa California I had no idea there was going to be music at the event. As my wife and I walked into the dining hall we were greeted by some of the sweetest music I have heard in years. Throughout the evening Doc entertained us with selections of Music spanning the years. We listened with huge Smiles on our faces. It truly is special when you get to hear someone share their soul with you through their music ! It is amazing how music can change an event from regular to Spectacular...He even brought a tear of joy to my eyes . His music undeniably heightened the level of an already amazing event. I would highly suggest if you'd like to take your next event up a notch, book Doc Saxy.. you and everyone present at your event will be happy you did. I know I sure was!!
