"Brilliantly talented, professional, and a good person. I cannot express my amazement in Lina Saroza. I decided to host a house party for ~20 guests that was a Murder Mystery party set in a 1920's jazz club. I was nervous at the cost of flying Lina across the country, but I can tell you it was worth every penny. Professionalism: Lina was flexible with the contracting and business agreement, allowing for us to outline contingencies and payment timelines. She always replied to my emails quickly, and it was easy to set up a phone call to finalize the details. Lina arrived early to do sound and equipment checks. She was a delight in engaging with party guests, and I have only heard overwhelmingly positive things from my friends about her. When creating a set list and timeline of events, Lina was well organized and knew each step of the party, even with the complex schedule that I had laid out. There were times when I wanted guests to focus on the murder mystery, and times when she was the main event, and she excelled at each! I also want to add that Lina spent the day sleeping/resting to ensure that she had energy for my party, which was late in the evening, even later when you consider her time change from the east coast. Performance: Lina knows how to get the party started! She dances with the crowd and can freestyle to almost any song! I asked her if she was able to accompany a dubstep song (SPACEFUNK by LSDREAM), and she absolutely rocked it. She also performed covers of pop songs and could jam out some amazing saxophone solos, often improvising to the music. I absolutely plan to have Lina back for future parties, and I could not recommend her more to others. She made the night so special and memorable and brought a lot of energy when it was time to boogie!"

"Michael was AMAZING!!! I booked him for my wedding ceremony and let me just say I couldn’t be more grateful for his presence there and his wonderful performance. He was extremely flexible with our timeline and kept guest entertained while they awaited the fashionably late bride. Having a violinist for my wedding has always been my dream and Michael made that dream come true!"

"We had The Upbeats for our wedding over the weekend and we couldn't recommend them highly enough. They turned up in plenty of time and sounded awesome, they kept all of our guests on the dance floor for the night. Definitely book them! "

"We were exceptionally happy from first contact with Mark right up until the end of our 14 person wedding. We couldn’t have asked for a better service. Mark ensured that he understood our requirements and went above and beyond to ensure that everyone was happy. Sax throughout the wedding breakfast was exactly what we wanted and wow, what a talent he has! In the evening Mark set up lights and a DJ type arrangement and played more sax and music through his own system in-between. Taking many requests from our guests and with a very varied music taste not one guest was left disappointed. Everything ran smoothly and we were absolutely blown away with the service. Thank you so much Mark for entertaining us, we are so glad we chose you!"

"On the day of our event, the children loved the fantastic workshops run by the talented Daedalus Academy artists and enjoyed a range of fun and educational activities. Meanwhile, we relaxed with drinks in the garden, accompanied by smooth jazz tunes from a fantastic band. Thank you for making it such a memorable day - we will definitely be back!"

"Wij hebben van je muziek genoten. Dank natuurlijk ook aan de deskundige gitarist / geluidsman Andre. Alleen maar positieve reacties hebben we gekregen van vriendelijke en geïnteresseerde bezoekers (circa 55 totaal). Het was een onvergetelijke middag. "Michael was the best decision we could have made for the wedding! His communication was incredible. He helped us think through things that we hadn't even considered and really made the schedule as smooth as could be. He was able to accommodate for our ceremony that did not have a power source. We even had our generator go out during the reception and he didn't hesitate to keep the vibe going. He started up his battery powered speakers and many guests didn't even realize the power was out. Michael was on board with our creative song choices and made them crowd pleasers. Majority of our guests complimented the DJ choice because we had the best dance floor ever. Thank you Michael for everything!!!!!"

"A year on and I am finally writing a review (sorry, I am useless at writing reviews) as I'm reminiscing about how great these guys were for my birthday last year and realised I had never done this! I would definitely recommend them to anyone. They were so accomodating and flexible as well as putting on a fantastic show. They had everyone dancing and commenting on how brilliant they were!
