"They played a variety of music for us and even made our announcements throughout the night. They helped keep everything on schedule and had everyone out dancing. We had so many compliments on their music and how good they were. Our guests really and truly had a great time and loved the music"

"We are delighted, very helpful in the planning stages, arrived promptly with no fuss set-up and then WOW what a performance, our guests were up and dancing and under the total control of Lovely from the moment she started her first number. Wonderful singing voice, fabulous presence, great humour thrown in and a very inclusive show that had something for everyone! And what stamina she displays, and the best of all - you know she is genuinely having fun too, which makes it all so real for the audience. I wish we had an excuse to rebook Lovely - if you are not sure, take our word for it - you wont be disappointed!"

"From the bride: "The music was wonderful! We could not have asked for a better band. Our guests were really impressed; the Uptown Society Orchestra really made our reception special.” From the groom: "What a professional group. Their exceptional musicianship brought a real element of class to the party. There is nothing like the sound of a live band, and this group made our reception better than we could have hoped for.” From the father of the bride: (Dennis Nowicki): "The band was fantastic -- they really exceeded our expectations." "From start to finish Cara has been truly amazing. She jumped on board with my unconventional party with enthusiasm, professionalism and with a sense of caring about why we were having the party. She had a willingness to learn some songs which have meaning to the family.. and doing so at short notice. As for her performance, she has an incredible voice which the guests were talking about for ages after she had finished her set. I would highly recommend Cara and will definitely being after her to play one of our parties again. "

"Dinner Jazz played at our wedding. They fit the mood of the day perfectly with a wide range of songs, that had all of our guests singing their praises. They were professional, courteous and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a jazz band to make their event memorable."

"Sue and I cannot praise you and your wonderful swing band enough. We have organised many prestigious balls and dinner dances over the years and we have hired some of the finest dance bands in the country but we can truly say that Mr Swing’s Dance Orchestra is the best we have ever used. It was absolutely magical, thank you. We are so so overwhelmed with gratitude to you for the evening because you absolutely made it. We would recommend you to anyone in the World; we already have a few people in mind. Comments from the guests included “The best band I have ever heard” and “What a fabulous band!” Not only were the musicians excellent but more importantly they all enjoyed playing which made for a wonderfully warm and welcoming atmosphere. It was a pleasure meeting you Matthew and a privilege to listen to your wonderful band which helped to make the evening very special indeed."

"We have had nothing but compliments for the entertainment at the Gala Dinner at our National Rally this year. The choice of material for both sets was spot on. Pleasure working with you and I hope we may be able to do it again some time in the future. I will certainly be recommending you to anyone I come across looking for event entertainment."

"We used Fleur and team for the cocktail part of the evening and it was good background entertainment. Fleur has a great tone. I also saw her at a smaller party and she did a good job then."

"Through the Jazz Centrale the lines of communication were fast and short, which resulted in a specific plan that perfectly matched our wishes. The enthusiastic and professional band performed the performance flawlessly according to the agreements made, and provided the ideal atmosphere at our party."

"Frank De Blase, Roch City News Sometimes it all just falls into place. The setting, the situation, the scene, the tone -- everything is going your way. That describes last night for me. And at the heart of this mid-week Xanadu was the Rick Holland Uptown Orchestra, a modest, brass-centric outfit led by the trumpet-blowing Holland that swung with equal parts effervescence and laid-back cool at Lovin Cup. And come to find out, five of his Hollands regular guys were sidelined, and the holes on the bandstand were plugged with subs --- hired music muscle like Po’ Boy Erik Jacobs on the slide trombone. By the time the Orchestra heaped on a helping of Count Basie, there was nowhere else I wanted to be. I dragged my mom out in the cold for this show and she was thrilled when they stomped on the Savoy. Holland led the affair with a relaxed air, coaxing more than conducting under his porkpie lid. He went around the bandstand numerous times so every cat there got his fair shake, including pianist extraordinaire Bill Dobbins. This is one sweet band, yes, yes "

"We saw the Tom Harvey Trio at the Penny Royal for an intimate jazz night. Some of the best live jazz music I've seen in Cardiff! Can't wait to see them perform again"
