"Kazz Khalif has been the trail blazer from the start of ZHF in 2023 and has become a not to be missed artist at the event. His connection and interactiveness with the audience, especially the children is electrifying and infectious. His performances lights up stage as shown by audiences crowding to listen and dance with him. He is easy to get along with. We look forward to working with him . "One of the hidden treasures of London is the range of talent that exists on the folk and acoustic scene that rarely get the acclaim they deserve. Three London based bands that excel at performing Eastern European/Balkan Music are Szapora, Mukka and Beskydy, each of whom are worth looking out for. Nine strong Beskydy perform songs and tunes from across Eastern Europe and beyond, in fact looking at the sources on their cd listing is almost like a tour around that part of Europe, from Macedonia to Hungary via Galicia and Bulgaria and taking a detour through Slovakia. The bands name itself comes from the range of mountains that run through the centre of former Czechoslovakia which according to the band has heavily influenced their musical choices whilst they turn their hand to music from a range of sources (excellantly). The first track is a Macedonian song, Jovano, Jovanke (click here to hear the song) and the range of Joanna Fosters vocal skills are further displayed in the three Slovakian songs that make up track 4, from the slow Janosik to the more up beat cheery Anicka Dusicka and A Ja Taka Dzivocka although Foster and the band manage to intertwine the tunes with sufficient skill so the songs merge as one. Again Track 9 is a duet with Accordian player, Peter Murphy, joining Foster on the Macedonian song Iz Dolu, along with some damned fine fiddling. The range of Beskydys musical skills are illustrated well by the instrumental tracks ranging from the delightful Slovakian Waltzes (Track 5) to the slightly more manic Tropanka from Bulgaria (track 10) and onto the ordered upbeat and furious synthesis between sax, fiddle and accordian that is Tantz, Tantz Yiddelekh (a wonderful Galician Jewish tune), yet again garunteed to result in limb movement, a delightful fusion of fiddles and saxaphone, furiously creating a wonderful atmosphere one that demands a physical response. One very minor complaint is the sleeve of the CD, it would be nice (or do I just lead a very shallow empty life) to have some information/lyrics or even translations of the songs, something about the origins of the tracks. That said its more than possible for bands with large bank accounts to produce nice extensive sleeves but not so easy for bands whose talents lie in their music rather than some slick marketing agencies. It would be impossible to identify one part of this cd that could be said to stand out more than the rest. The band have produced an album that is thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish - the question that comes to the fore when listening to this is when is the follow up going to be available? "

"I booked Blag to play for my wedding and I was astonished by their ability to play almost any genre of music. They have a really lively act and are very down-to-earth, polite and professional to work with. It was clear that they really love playing music and their energy and enthusiasm infused the whole evening. The wedding reception was running late with the speeches and food, so Blag wandered around the tables playing violin and guitar acoustically before they played their evening set….It was magical. If I ever get married again, Blag will be my band of choice!!!"

"There’s a local connection to this marvellous presentation of Andalusian culture. Daniel Martinez studied flamenco guitar from the age of seven in his native Cordoba and played in the city’s tablaos before moving to the UK in 2015 and establishing his guitar school in Edinburgh. His flamenco troupe has two Scottish guitarists and one of this production’s pieces expresses the happiness Martinez has found in Scotland but the music and movement are undiluted Andalusia. The venue even obliged with Andalusian temperatures, making dancer Gabriela Pouso’s intense and astonishingly precise footwork all the more admirable. There’s music in Pouso’s feet and her close coordination with Martinez’ brilliantly nimble and massively colourful musicianship would have been worth the ticket price alone. That, though, would have robbed us of the fantastically expressive singing and the violinist's superb articulation with his bow. The concert began quietly, with Martinez playing alone, soulfully evoking a calm before the storm. And what a storm: three guitars in intricate partnership, violin and voices soaring as the singers added typically urgent and musical hand clapping and Pouso embodying the music’s vibrant physical presence. Bravo indeed."

"The Rock Hunters are not a music band, they are the music band. They are that band that will dance with the bride and the guests, they are that band that gets the elderly out of their seats, they are the band not a band. Thank you so Much for everything!"

"Yera was an excellent choice to play violin at our wedding. We looked at quite a few different people and bands, but Yera was the most reasonable cost and he seemed really friendly from the start. We were not disappointed! Yera traveled quite some distance just for our wedding service and dinner reception and was fulfilled all our requests despite this. He is a master on the violin and played everything so well (from the classic wedding instrumentals to string covers of modern songs). All of our guests also mentioned how good he was both in the church and at dinner. We just wish we had more time to listen to his beautiful music. Highly recommend Yera for any occasion!!!"

"“For an introduction to the world of Flamenco, Flamenco Sol is a must watch” ★★★★ Perth Happenings, 2023 Aire Flamenco has dispelled my preconceptions of what Flamenco is. Even when frenetic, there is finesse to the stamping, akin to the quick shuffle of a tap dancer. In fact, it is grace under fire as despite the furious footwork you might see and hear, there is restraint in movement, most noticeably in the wrists and fingers which always remain gentle and languid. And that’s not all I learnt about flamenco, while watching Flamenco Sol. Aire Flamenco is a melting pot ensemble of performers who boast a combined wealth of international experience. Sunday’s performance featured Marcus Perrozzi (percussion), Justin Kutylowski (guitar and vocals), Raquel Avellan (dance and vocals), Valeria Gonzalez (dance) and Maree Laffan (dance). Through Flamenco Sol, this talented troupe invites the audience for a brief tour of the world of Flamenco. In Flamenco, almost every prop has a purpose, nothing is just ornamental. From the taps of the baston (cane) and the sliding flick of the hand fan to the flowy bata de cola (skirt) to accentuate the twirls of the dancers. Even the humble clap and slap of what looked like an ordinary wooden box stool played their parts in providing a rich musical experience. I was drawn in by the farruca, with its assertive and sharp stamps contrasting with the soulful, emotive voice of the male vocalist. I also enjoyed the fan dance, which was truly mesmerising to watch as each opening and closing swish of the fan partnered perfectly with the beats of the percussionist. For an introduction to the world of Flamenco, Flamenco Sol is a must watch. I know I’ll be keeping an eye out for future gigs by Aire Flamenco."

"Professionalism and elegance Warm hospitality, professionalism, and elegance. Everything we were looking for on our special day, we found with Maestro Paolo Buzzi. His mastery at the piano during the cocktail hour and the talent of the singer for the cake-cutting and after-dinner party were unmatched... We would make the exact same choice all over again!"

"I had the pleasure of having Nima perform at my wife's PhD graduation celebration, and he was incredible! From the start, he was professional, friendly, and incredibly helpful—assisting with everything from song selection to creating the perfect atmosphere. He even added a special touch by playing some Bollywood favorites, which our guests absolutely loved. Nima’s punctuality, talent, and engaging performance made the evening unforgettable, and many guests commented on how much they enjoyed his music. If you’re looking for an amazing violinist who knows how to connect with his audience, Nima is the one to book!"
