Photo of Miss Swing Miss Swing "Tracy has sung for me at a number of venues I have managed. Most recently she entertained with her Miss Swing theme. Was amazing, all our guests thoroughly enjoyed their Sunday afternoon and have been left waiting for more of Tracy later in the year. So accommodating to this new venture, I cannot recommend enough, get booking!" Based in Colchester, England 10th June 2026 Wendy Rundle - Pub Photo of Stamford Stompers Dixieland Jazz Band Stamford Stompers Dixieland Jazz Band "Renewal of wedding vows: Thank you for an entertaining afternoon. Everyone loved the band and the music made our day... will certainly be putting your name forward for any parties or weddings that I hear about. We will use you again if anything crops up. Tracey." Based in Market Deeping, England Tracey - Renewal of wedding vows Photo of Decatur Street Jazz Decatur Street Jazz "Rosie was an absolute star. She was technically brilliant (beautiful voice) and when she was let down by the sound system completed her set unaccompanied. Her professionalism and un-flappability in the face of difficulty was very impressive. Would strongly recommend." Based in Southend-on-Sea, England Mary W - National Trust - Volunteer Thank You Party Photo of Oh la la! Oh la la! "The residents of Norton Place were delighted to welcome Fifi and Olly to perform at our summer soirée on 16 August. Their performance was uplifting and wowed the audience over three sets with their fabulous range of familiar and not so familiar french music." Based in London, England 7th September 2026 Lynn McNamara - Summer party Photo of Brian Clemens Brian Clemens "From start to finish Brian was nothing short of epic! We wanted a pianist for our wedding ceremony and from the moment we booked Brian he was very communicative, super friendly, listened to all of our slightly strange requests and made them all happen, down to the last detail. On the day, Brian arrived well in advance of the start this, and was playing his gorgeous music to the guests (and putting me at easy) well before the start of the ceremony. Yes his music is SUPERB, but for me, what made Brian most incredible, was he ability to read the room. We had a song mid-ceremony (which we thought could potentially be badly sang by guests) but not on Brian’s watch… he lead us all in, adding fun bits into the song, picking up the pace when needed and giving us all the confidence to “belt it out”. Just a true professional with a personal touch. Brilliant Brian!" Based in London, England Adam S. Photo of The London Jazz Duo The London Jazz Duo "Robin’s music is all about lyrical playing informed from ‘the source’, delivered with a warm joyful sound." Frequently asked questions

The average price for 1920s era musicians & bands on Gig Heaven is currently £420, with prices ranging from £150 to £1,350+. Pricing typically depends on the size of the ensemble, whether the act is a solo performer or a full band. Most acts specialise in jazz age standards, Charleston-style numbers and Dixieland jazz, so listening to profile samples is a good way to compare what each performer offers.

The 1920s era musicians & bands specialise in the sounds of the Roaring Twenties, including hot jazz, Dixieland, Charleston and ragtime. Many performers recreate the authentic feel of a 1920s speakeasy or Gatsby-themed event, often featuring period-appropriate instruments such as banjo, clarinet and trumpet.

Hiring 1920s era musicians & bands is a popular choice for Gatsby and prohibition-themed parties, vintage weddings, corporate dinners and cocktail receptions. The elegant, upbeat style of 1920s music works especially well as both background entertainment and a main performance to get guests dancing.

Many 1920s era musicians & bands offer the option of performing in 1920s-style attire, such as flapper dresses, pinstripe suits and fedoras. This can add an extra layer of authenticity to themed events. It is worth discussing costume options with the performers when making an enquiry.
