Photo of Dar.Ra Dar.Ra "Hype Magazine USA Cure For Jealousy A perfectly polished storyteller in the literal sense, Dar.Ra goes for this wild swing of ‘80s dance-rock infused with edge on the stomping sweetness of “Cure For Jealousy.” The track combines a range of periods and influences, ensuring the sound works seamlessly as a cohesive, concise whole. Volume is a given; he brings it, and it is a physical sound, like the way blood rushes through the ears with the first few traces of jealousy. Looking through his track record, he’s managed to touch upon every iteration of dance and rock within the last forty years, and has done it well. Outside of the music, he’s the author of two books, which also inform the character studies that he graces with his sound. It is catchy, addictive, and liberating stuff, the sort of thing that the music world needs now – something unique, experimental yet accessible, and overflowing with ideas. Sonically, Dar.Ra’s sound draws on the revivalist traditions of DFA Records, specifically on LCD Sound-System’s earnest pleas and search for meaning. Like James Murphy, Dar.Ra does have a love for the aesthetics of just a gigantic canvas, letting the whole arrangement feel enormous. On the classic side, the insistent bass has an ESG quality, with the groove absolutely dominating. It is easy to get intoxicated by the atmosphere, and the vocals further sell this idea of breaking free from this impairment. The tautness of the groove even delves into Parliament’s most unhinged experiments, as the track sparkles with endless creativity. For all these reference points, Dar.Ra continues his fine tradition of marching to the beat of a different drummer, going for this life-affirming, soulful stance. The stormy mix of keyboards and the tight rhythm section work their magic. Before his voice enters the equation, the mood is already set. When he takes center stage, the song transforms into an inner turmoil. He’s conflicted, and the verses cascade downwards reflecting exactly that. It stuns, and the track’s length makes the atmosphere almost psychedelic. Of course, this is what good dance music is meant to embody – endless expanses, endless possibilities. There is a reason so many dance-floors adhere to that sixto-seven-minute mark, even exceeding it when necessary. The band's interplay feels spirited, as if possessed, and this is what carries it all the way to the finale: a contemplative commotion. “Cure For Jealousy” shows that Dar.Ra is what music needs right now – a sound that draws and builds on the past while pointing a way forward, in a purely hedonistic, funk/dance/punk flavour." Based in Aberystwyth, Wales 20th April 2026 Hype Magazine USA - Kusha Deep Music UK Photo of Andy Bellis Andy Bellis "First set tonight is provided by Andy Bellis, solo artist based in the Wirral, I’ve not yet seen him perform; the beauty of these gigs is you really do discover new treasures. Very cool, wearing a trilby and customised denim jacket, with white acoustic guitar, he does fill this stage with his presence and is instantly likeable. A full set, lots of content, very accomplished playing, but it’s the vocal that wows! Such a range, from low, grating tones with a raspiness, to full, loud and real angst ridden sounds; notes are extended and held with brilliance and real ease; very comfortable up there on stage before us. Instant feels are indie then, once Radiohead covers begin, come the more sorrowful and grunge feeling sounds; then during others a slight folk or indie/folk feel. When the full extent of vocal range is used we get tingles down our spines; it’s haunting, atmospheric and you can literally feel the spectrum of emotions conveyed during each song. A gentle at first, then rousing and meaningful, cover of ‘Hallelujah’ is stand out. The crowd reaction after each song is just incredible; safe to say Andy has gone down super well and has certainly earned some new fans tonight, as afterwards he ‘s inundated with members of the audience wanting selfies and autographs. Very, very well received indeed. an absolutely stunning vocal, genuine interaction and a real set to remember. Honestly, check Andy Bellis out ‘cos this vocal is seriously special. Set list 1. El matador 2. Cruel woman 3. Nude 4. Goodbye horses 5. Sulk 6. Ghosts in the mirror 7. Hallelujah 8. Sitting right 9. His incredible bongo skills lit up the dance floor, blending perfectly with the DJ and keeping everyone dancing all night." Based in Wilmslow, England Marion - Destination Wedding Photo of Rebecca Rose Cellist Rebecca Rose Cellist "We booked Rebecca for our wedding and she was absolutely incredible from start to finish. She was so friendly, easy to talk to, and kept in regular contact in the lead-up to the day, which really put us at ease. Her song list was fantastic, with so many beautiful choices — but what meant the most to us was that she learned my walk-in song especially for the reception. It was such a magical moment and truly added something unforgettable to our day. Her performance was stunning, and so many of our guests commented on how talented she is. We couldn’t recommend her highly enough. If you’re thinking about booking her, do it — she helped make our wedding perfect." My Uncle and my Dad were sat behind me during the service and you literally reduced them both to tears. I have never seen either of them cry before. It was extremely moving, your performance was beautiful and perfect. Rob would have absolutley loved it. Thank you much for performing for us and for your professionalism and sympathy. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend you to anyone" Based in Manchester, England 18th September 2026 Sarah - Funeral Photo of The Cover Babes The Cover Babes "Absolutely fabulous night with the cover babes highly recommend everyone enjoyed the music" Based in Manchester, England 17th September 2026 Julie Fynan - 65th Country Cowboy themed Birthday Party

Frequently asked questions

The average price for accompanists on Gig Heaven is £250, with rates from £80 to £600+. Cost varies based on the musician's experience, the length of the session and the instrument involved. Accompanists support solo vocalists, instrumentalists, choirs and other performers, and those with specialist skills or extensive repertoire may charge more.

The accompanists for hire are skilled musicians who provide musical support for singers, instrumentalists, choirs or other performers. They typically play piano or keyboard, though some specialise in guitar or other instruments. Accompanists are commonly booked for weddings, recitals, auditions and religious services.

Common events for accompanists include wedding ceremonies, church services, vocal recitals, auditions, rehearsals and other events where a singer or performer needs live musical support. Some accompanists also provide solo background music for drinks receptions and dinners.

Most accompanists are experienced sight-readers and can learn or prepare specific pieces for an event. It is advisable to send any music or song requests in advance so the accompanist can prepare. Many are comfortable working with a wide range of musical styles.

Most accompanists who play portable instruments such as guitar will bring their own equipment. Keyboard players typically bring their own instrument, though some may prefer to use a piano if one is available at the venue. It is worth confirming instrument and equipment arrangements when making an enquiry.
