Club DJs in Perth, Western Australia, Australia are booked for how they handle a room over several hours, not for a song list. The craft is in transitions, tempo and key matching, and knowing when to hold a groove and when to lift it.
Most club DJs bring a controller or their own CDJs and mixer, but they expect a booth or a solid table, clean power and a PA that will hold up for several hours at volume. Ask whether the room has a sound limiter and what time music has to stop, because both change what a DJ can do with the last hour. Hotels, beach clubs and private villas often run an in-house system, in which case the DJ arrives with media and headphones only.
A club DJ reads the floor, so the useful brief is not a playlist but a shape: when doors open, when you want the room full, and when the night peaks. Say which genres are off the table, name two or three tracks that matter, then leave the rest. Open-format DJs move between house, hip-hop, R&B and commercial dance across a night, while a house or techno specialist holds one lane and goes deeper into it. Confirm who handles announcements, because not every club DJ works as an MC.
Rates in Perth run from $140 to $1,650+, with most bookings landing near $550. Set length is the main driver, then equipment: a DJ supplying full sound and lighting for a private venue charges more than one plugging into a club's existing rig. Late finishes, public holidays and travel to a resort or island date all move the figure, so agree the end time before the quote rather than after.
The average price for Club DJs available in Perth, Western Australia, Australia is $550 (AUD). Above you will also find a budget price and high end price. Contact the supplier you like for an accurate quote.

Kaan Agaoglu
"Kaan was incredibly easy to work with from the first conversation. He understood the atmosphere we wanted and kept the dance floor full all night. The music selection was perfect, and the whole process felt very professional."
DJ Tom Grimes
"Tom played an amazing wedding set for us from start to finish! He tailored the music perfectly to our style and taste, and worked the music well for each stage of the wedding.
We talked a lot beforehand and he included all of our requests, and through us talking he got a good sense of our music style and made sure he included it in our special day.
Tom is a friendly, talented and open person. We are so happy he was able to play on our wedding day and create a brilliant atmosphere amongst our guests!"
Ras Hafeez The Viking
"We honestly cannot recommend our DJ enough! We hired him for a private hen party at our villa and from the very first conversation, right through to the end of the night, he was absolutely fabulous.
We had a very specific vibe and atmosphere in mind for the hen party and he completely understood what we wanted. He took the time to listen to exactly what we were looking for, the type of music we loved, the atmosphere we wanted to create and the overall feel of the evening. He absolutely nailed it! The music was perfect and really helped make the whole night so enjoyable and memorable.
What stood out just as much as how talented he was, was what a genuinely lovely person he is. He was so calm, friendly, professional and just such a peaceful human to have around. Nothing was ever too much trouble and he made everything feel so easy and stress free, which is exactly what you want when you’re organising such a special occasion.
He was also brilliant at reading the room and knowing exactly what was needed throughout the afternoon/ night. He helped create such a fun atmosphere without ever taking over, and the music really brought everyone together and kept the energy going.
We had so many compliments from all the hen ladies about the music and the DJ, and everyone had such a fantastic time. It was honestly everything we hoped it would be and more.
Thank you so much for being part of such a special evening and for helping make our hen party one we will all remember for a very long time. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you to anyone looking for a DJ for their event. Absolutely brilliant from start to finish! 🤍🥂🎶✨"
Eric Tchaikovsky
