Photo of Pure Blarney Pure Blarney "Just a note from myself though, we knew the band was great and would go down amazingly with our guests - but we were not prepared for how well they were received!! So many compliments about you guys! Review for you to use: We had pure blarney play at our wedding and what an experience!! They were absolutely outstanding. The dance floor was full the entire time - you literally couldn’t stop for a break because every song they played was phenomenal. They were so interactive with the guests and created the most amazing atmosphere. They genuinely have such a talent for what then do - their instruments, their singing and their ability to sustain such high energy. Absolutely faultless!" They were very professional and organised. Arrived pleanty of time in advance and communicated clearly with us from before we booked to the day of our event!" As I said many times, we were not looking for a wedding band in Ireland, we wanted an Irish Band that does weddings. Well we found them. In March of 2024 my wife and I were in Ireland to preview my daughter's wedding venue in Co. Monaghan at Castle Leslie. We did not have a band yet and happened into Temple Bar and fortunately for us Sparky was playing with an awesome fiddle player and we were hooked. Quick conversation and some planning with Gav and they were booked. They were incredibly accommodating and helped coordinate all of the music for the day including ceremony, Cocktail 2 Hours(!), Shindig for the evening and even a DJ inserted in the middle. They also worked with me and my band to do some of the first dances etc. for my daughter and our families. As a musician myself, I know good when I see it and these guys were awesome! I can't wait to play with them again!" Hiring folk bands suits a wide range of events including weddings, ceilidhs, barn dances, festivals, pub events, corporate functions and cultural celebrations. Folk music creates a warm, convivial atmosphere and many bands encourage audience participation through sing-alongs and dancing.

Some folk bands also offer ceilidh or barn dance calling as part of their performance. The caller guides guests through traditional group dances, making it an inclusive and entertaining activity for all ages. To get the best results, check each band's profile to see if they offer this option.
