Folk Bands for Hire in Nottingham

The folk bands for hire perform a range of folk styles including traditional, contemporary folk, Celtic, English folk, world folk and folk-rock. Many bands feature acoustic instruments such as fiddle, guitar, mandolin, accordion, bodhran and bouzouki.

Hiring folk bands suits a wide range of events including weddings, ceilidhs, barn dances, festivals, pub events, corporate functions and cultural celebrations. Folk music creates a warm, convivial atmosphere and many bands encourage audience participation through sing-alongs and dancing.

Some folk bands also offer ceilidh or barn dance calling as part of their performance. The caller guides guests through traditional group dances, making it an inclusive and entertaining activity for all ages. To get the best results, check each band's profile to see if they offer this option.

Many folk bands can perform acoustically for smaller, intimate venues. For medium to large events, most bands bring their own PA system. It is advisable to discuss the venue size and guest numbers with the band to determine the best sound setup.
