Guitar players mostly quote per set rather than per hour, with rates in Lake Tahoe starting from about $140 for a single instrumental set, typical bookings around $390 and singer-guitarists bringing their own PA reaching $1,150+. Longer performances, weekend and peak-season dates, and sets that include vocals all push quotes up. When comparing quotes, check what each includes: amplification, travel and time to learn requested songs are sometimes itemised separately. Booking ceremony and reception music with the same performer often costs less than hiring two separate acts. Contact the supplier you like for an accurate quote.

los angeles acoustic Guitarist
"Ian Kauffman was an absolute pleasure to work with. For couples looking for live music for their ceremony or the reception, Ian is the pro. His glowing reviews are a direct reflection of his work. With little direction, Ian is able to provide clients with an eclectic list of music that brings all age groups onto the dance floor – a serious accomplishment. Not to mention, as a planner, releasing tables to a buffet line can be a stressful task, as you do not want guests waiting in an endless line. This not only demonstrates his flexibility in his services, but also his understanding for tasteful execution. The wedding I coordinated occurred on New Years Eve, so Ian was expected to provide 10+ hours of engaging music – a task he accomplished flawlessly. My bride was extremely satisfied with the outcome as well. I look forward to recommending Ian to my future clients and working with him again."
Classic Country & Oldies Rock One Man Band
"Fantastic entertainment!
Dave was a lot of fun, a great singer and sounded like a whole band was behind him! Amazing what he can do with his keyboard not to mention his guitar! I would highly recommend him for any event you might have"
Jake Williams
"Jake was such a great addition to our teens’ dinner party. Our guests loved his music, little kids danced under the tree lights while the adults enjoyed dinner and drinks, and people kept complimenting how fun and talented he was throughout the night. He played for three hours with breaks of course but impressive!
He also played such a great variety of songs, and at one point my husband looked over and said, “Is he playing Enrique Iglesias?” — and it turned out to be one of our proposal songs, which made the night feel extra special and personal, even if he didn’t know that was one of our songs.
Jake arrived early to set up, communicated clearly before and the day of the event, and was always easy to reach. He created such a warm, joyful atmosphere and truly made the evening memorable. Highly recommend him for any gathering! I hope to see him again when my friends book him in the future and of course he’ll be in my list of hire as well.
Thank you Jake for a wonderful evening!!!"
