Bands based close to your venue usually quote less, because travel time and any overnight costs are built into the fee. Ask what a quote covers before comparing two acts: some include PA and stage lighting, others price them separately.
Of the 1,236 suppliers listed here, 6 are based within 30 miles of Lagos. The other 1,230 are willing to travel there.

Soul Bands in LagosParty bands in Lagos, Faro, Portugal play popular music across several decades, from Motown and classic rock to current chart hits, adjusting the setlist and energy to suit the room. Also called function bands, these acts usually run to 3 to 6 musicians and are booked for weddings, birthdays, corporate functions and private parties.
Set structure varies more than most people expect. A typical evening booking is two 45-minute sets with a break, and many bands supply a DJ playlist to cover the gap so the music never stops. Confirm how early the act needs access for setup, whether the venue has a sound limiter, and whether the band will learn a specific song for a first dance.
Rates for function bands in Lagos range from €200 to €3,150+, with the average booking at €1,000. Band size is the biggest factor: a three-piece costs less than a six-piece with brass or a second vocalist. Performance length, travel distance and whether the act supplies its own PA and lighting all move the figure.

João Faísca - The Protons
"The band were brilliant! Everyone had an amazing time.
Joao came to visit the property before the event.
The volume was great as did not disturb our neighbours too much!"
G Clef - Harmony between strings
"G Clef was an amazing Duo. They were great to work with. I am in Canada and met with them online to discuss my vision of the proposal, which would take place in Portugal. I sent them the 3 songs I wanted them to sing during the proposal. 2 of the songs they did not know, but they spent the time to learn them. As they were learning the new songs, they even created a demo of the 3 songs I requested so I could hear how they sounded. I was impressed. The proposal took place in a cave that is only accessible by boat from Armacao de Pera. The duo had to meet the boat crew ahead of time and get dropped off in the cave, which gave them time to set up. They brought a battery-powered amplifier for the guitar and vocals. Everything worked out perfectly. This group was great to work with and sounded excellent; they even performed an additional song of their choice, which was a perfect fit for the moment. I would highly recommend them for any event you have planned."
M.U.V Band (Musical Universal Vibes)
"What a great party! The Cheers band were just amazing and there was never a time when the dance floor was not buzzing. Special tribute to your lead vocalists as they were just amazing, but also to the whole band for a just exceptional performance. We hope they enjoyed playing for us as much as we loved having them perform for us. And thank you for very professional and efficient organisation of the evening which ran like clockwork"
Rosalina Assanali & Banda
"Rosalina and her band were absolutely fantastic at our wedding and created a perfect playlist of songs that were performed to perfection. Thank you Rosalina!"

From the vocals to the instrumentals, they covered all the songs we wanted them to and some and got everyone out on the dance floor. It was great for all ages of our guests. 10/10 recommend!!
João is also amazing to work with, so friendly, helpful, flexible and put up with all my questions :)."
Kajó Soares-Saxophone /Portuguese Guitar
"Kajó was incredible, one of the highlights of the day for us and all our guests. It was the perfect addition to dinner and allow people to experience Portugese culture and also bring some energy to our evening. The saxaphone during cocktails was also the perfect background to the drinks. Kajó is so talented and also a lovely person, we definitely recommend him for any event!"
