Piano players near you bring versatility that few other solo musicians can match. A single performer can cover gentle classical pieces for a ceremony, relaxed jazz at a drinks reception and contemporary pop hits for an evening celebration, adapting their style to each part of your event.
The style of music matters most when picking a piano player. Jazz-focused performers lean towards standards and swing, while classically trained pianists excel at formal ceremony repertoire. Many modern piano players blend genres freely, moving between instrumental covers of current chart songs and traditional favorites within the same set. Some also offer vocals, turning a solo piano booking into a full singer-pianist act. If your venue has an in-house piano, let the performer know in advance so they can assess whether to use it or bring their own digital keyboard.
Pianists in Wales typically charge between £80 and £700+, with an average rate of £250. Shorter ceremony-only bookings sit at the lower end, while full-day packages covering multiple parts of a wedding or event cost more. Performance length, travel distance and whether the pianist provides vocals or additional equipment all affect the final price.
The average price for Pianists available in Wales, United Kingdom is £250 (GBP). Above you will also find a budget price and high end price. Contact the supplier you like for an accurate quote.

Knight & Hodgetts
"Jamie, huge thanks for doing an absolutely amazing job at our wedding. You are a very talented man and should be proud of what you do. Family and friends have all said it was the best music they’ve heard at a wedding. Despite the mixed age group, everyone young and old was up on that dance floor. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts."
Dan Phelps - Pianist
"100% recommend.
When I originally booked my wedding at the Webbington Hotel I was sure I didn’t want the piano to be played. However, after attending their wedding Fayre, I walked in and heard Dan playing the Piano, which happened to be one of my favourite Disney songs being played. It bought me to tears, and I knew in that moment it was a must have. We Booked Dan around 18 months prior to the wedding and communication was brilliant. He was happy to answer any questions and queries prior to the day and gave us opportunity to choose what we wanted for the ceremony and the music played before. All my guests were complimentary of Dan, and many of them cried some happy tears to the music being played. He really helped to set the scene for our wedding, and it was a beautiful touch to our day. I just really wish I was able to hear the music being played before the ceremony, but as the bride that is not possible! Dan was fantastic. Definitely recommend. It adds a very personal touch to your wedding day. 5🌟 Absolutly Fantastic."
Melodious Moments
"From the moment I booked with Melodious Moments to perform at my wedding, he was very prompt with all my queries, and the prices were reasonable. There were changes to the times, and he was very flexible, making my day less stressful. He played songs that I requested and others from his usual list, they were absolutely beautiful. He performed a song we chose for our first dance, and it was as magical as I visualised in my head it was even better in person. Thanks, Max! It gave elegance and class that I wanted to add to my day!"

Bob Gessey
"Hi Bob We just wanted to say a big thank you for playing at our party on Saturday night. We had such a great day and the band just made it. We've had so many comments on how good the band were. We were so pleased with how the party went and to be able to use our garden to host. The atmosphere was great and the selection of music was just perfect. Thank you for coming all the way over to Lincolnshire too. We can highly recommend you Margaret Foreman

Sue Cottrell - wedding pianist
"A brilliant experience! Sue was very quick to respond to organisational queries prior to the event. As musicians, Sue and Lloyd were first-class, and fitted in perfectly with the professional, yet relaxed, atmosphere of the launch."
