Singer guitarists in Japan offer a versatile live music option for weddings, private parties and corporate events. These solo acoustic performers tend to carry broad repertoires spanning multiple decades and genres, adjusting their energy and song choices to match each part of the day. Many use loop pedals to layer harmonies, percussion and rhythm guitar for a fuller sound, and most arrive with their own PA equipment suited to a range of venue sizes.
These performers can cover multiple segments of an event, from gentle background music during a drinks reception through to upbeat singalongs later in the evening. Most are happy to learn special requests with reasonable notice, including first dance songs, ceremony pieces, or favourites that are not already on their setlist. Audio and video samples on each listing give a clear sense of vocal style and guitar tone before making contact.
Rates for guitar vocalists in Japan range from ¥17,500 to ¥160,000+, with an average of ¥55,000. Cost is driven by performance duration, travel distance from the performer's base, and any additional services such as learning custom songs or covering both ceremony and evening reception. Rates also reflect the performer's experience and how far in advance the booking is made, with peak wedding season dates carrying a premium.
The average price is ¥55,000 (JPY), with most priced from ¥17,500 to ¥160,000+. Contact the supplier you like for an accurate quote.

Tom Sartori
"BOOK THIS BAND!
Booking with Tom was singlehandedly the best decision we could have made for our wedding!! We went back and forth between a DJ or a band, and looking back now I can't imagine our wedding would have been half as fun if we booked with a DJ. Tom and his band absolutely ROCKED and people STILL compliment them when talking about our wedding. They kept the dance floor packed all night!! They were so accommodating with all of our requests, and made everything happen so seamlessly on the day of. One of my favorite parts was that with our first dance (we wanted the original played) they had the fiddle player playing along with it - this made it so much more special! Thanks so much Tom, y'all seriously ROCKED! I wish we could get married again just to party with y'all again!!! :)"
Matt Baxter
"we booked Matt after seeing him sing one afternoon at a local venue , instantly we loved his voice and songs, we had a chat and booked him for our evening wedding celebration. Matt chatted to us before the day and was so attentive with what we wanted. On the evening all our guests loved him and we knew we had made the right choice. We couldn’t believe the value for money for a live singer it really was perfect for us .
Anyone looking for a singer this guy is really good, I hope we see him again singing one day
Thank you for helping make our day so special Matt

Shaun G
"What an excellent evening with Shaun G last Saturday! 🎸🎤
Shaun absolutely smashed his set — even a power cut didn’t stop him! ⚡️😄 With music to suit everyone, we can highly recommend Shaun for a fantastic night of live music.
We’re already looking forward to having him back on stage here at Le Famous Knight! 🤘🎶"
Elise
"Thank you Elise for your performance and your sublime voice, you have delighted both adults and children with your varied repertoire and songs that are beautifully and subtly appropriated. Special mention also for the two songs I asked you for, which were perfectly interpreted."
Antonia Lasso
"Hello! I am so happy with Antonia. She sang at my cafe in Woodside near Palo Alto, we payed her $1000 for 4 hours and she didn't disappoint. I had asked her to prepare some songs by request that I like and to bring some of her originals. I just want to say that I am happy to pay this price specially bc she really give it her all and everyone was having a good time."
Midé
