My dad knew Frankie Beverly and the band but didn't stay in contact with him much after he moved to California. My dad didn't come to this show because he was really upset by Mr Beverly's passing. I brought a friend with me instead. Getting hear Frankie Beverly's music performed live (as someone that wasn't around yet to get that experience back in the day) whewwww was I blown away!!! I never couldve comprehended why the love in that room at WCL was so thick from just the concert recordings.
