Live wedding bands bring an energy to evening receptions that playlists cannot match. Professional groups near you are experienced at working with local venues, managing sound levels for different room sizes, and keeping guests of all ages dancing. Most acts perform two or three sets of around 45 minutes, with DJ music filling the breaks, and offer extras like acoustic ceremony performances or learning your first dance song.
Start by matching band size to your venue. Duos and trios suit smaller or more intimate spaces, while four to six-piece lineups fill larger reception rooms with a fuller sound. Check demo videos to make sure the band's energy and style match the atmosphere you want. It is also worth asking about the full package: most professional acts include PA equipment, lighting, and MC services as standard, but ceremony music, extended sets, and additional musicians may be priced separately. Bands based near your venue often offer more competitive rates due to lower travel costs.
For Wedding bands in Atlanta, fees run from $240 to $3,500+, with an average cost of $1,100. Band size is the biggest factor in pricing, followed by performance duration and time of year. Peak season dates from late spring through early autumn tend to carry higher rates, while midweek or off-season bookings can stretch your budget further. Ask about package deals if you want ceremony music or a late-night DJ set alongside the main performance.
The average price for Wedding Bands available in Atlanta, Georgia, United States is $1,100 (USD). Above you will also find a budget price and high end price. Contact the supplier you like for an accurate quote.

JUST FRIENDS Entertainment
"Kenny Kirby [2021] - Playin' The Cracks (Selected Tracks) [Philly Fillet Records]
I came across this artist via DJ Melismo's (aka Mats Olofsson) latest podcast in which he played "Someday We'll All Be Free" (and what a version!), so decided to check out the rest of the album
Kenny Kirby's name may not be well known but he has been performing for over forty years with top acts such as Van Morrison, Charlie Grace, Sly & The Family Stone, Delfonics, Three Degrees, Major Harris, Billy Paul, Intruders, Blue Notes, Soul Survivors and was conductor for The Tymes.
He is a piano player from Birmingham, AL, and released, what looks like, his debut album "Playin' The Cracks" in April. It is mainly covers, smooth jazz, some instrumentals and some quite MOR tunes, but three tracks did get my attention. I'm fairly sure it's not Kenny singing as some of the vocals are female. No one else is credited on the album, so I'm guessing they are unnamed guest vocalists on the vocal tracks.
The three tracks are a cover of Donny Hathaway's "Someday We'll All Be Free", "Some Things Never Change" and "Ultimate Lover" a song written by Linda Creed and Dennis Matkosky."
Barry White/Sade/Tina Turner Tribute
"The Barry White and Sade Tribute Show was a hit. They kept my guest entertained and on the dance floor. Their renditions of the songs were dead on. I would highly recommend them for your events."
