Wedding DJs in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada provide professional music and MC services for ceremonies, drinks receptions and evening parties. From reading the room and mixing genres on the fly to coordinating speeches and first dances, a good wedding disc jockey keeps your day running smoothly while the dance floor stays full.
Most wedding DJs bring complete setups including PA systems, microphones for speeches and dance floor lighting, and offer a planning consultation to agree must-play and do-not-play lists and the running order for your day. Share the venue's schedule in advance: if the room is turned around between the meal and the evening party, your DJ needs access for setup while guests are at drinks, and a clear cue list helps them work with the photographer and venue coordinator so nothing important starts before everyone is in place.
If you want one supplier across the whole day, ask whether the DJ can provide a second sound setup for the ceremony room or garden, including a microphone for the officiant and readings. Outdoor ceremonies need a power supply or battery-powered speakers, and moving equipment between spaces takes time, so confirm how the changeover fits your schedule and whether it carries an extra charge.
Quotes in Kitchener start from about $190 for an evening-only booking, average around $650 for a standard reception package, and reach $1,950+ for full-day coverage with extra equipment. Peak-season Saturdays are the first dates to go, so popular DJs book up months ahead and charge accordingly. Ask about the overtime rate before the day: extending past the agreed finish is usually pricier than booking the extra hour upfront, and a ceremony sound system or early venue access can also add to the fee.
The average price for Wedding DJs available in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada is $650 (CAD). Above you will also find a budget price and high end price. Contact the supplier you like for an accurate quote.

"We recently used Jason's DJ Service for our vow renewal reception. We couldn't have been happier with our experience - extremely professional, courteous, respectful, friendly, and of course affordable. Every person's requirements differ when it comes to what people look for in a DJ, and Jason's DJ Service was extremely adaptable with us. They worked closely with us to ensure a positive experience, and that is exactly what they provided. We would strongly recommend Jason's DJ Service to anyone!"

Myrod Music
"Myrod Music was Epic. From the time I entered the room with him playing I knew I made the right choice of having him at my celebration. He was engaging with the audience. I felt every note he played. After the event I got quite a few query about him and the feedback was all positive. I will definitely use him in any event I am planning.
Thank you Ezekiel for a n amazing evening. May the Lord continue to bless you.🙏🏾"
Dj Al
"I can't say enough good things about DJ AL. Perfect entertainment for the cocktail hour outside. The instrumental music was exactly the vibe we were going for. DJ AL was amazing! He had everyone dancing the whole night and his setlist was exactly the vibe I was going for. The dinner music he played was great too."
Gary Perl's ROCK-ON DJ
"My husband and I were at a wedding July 18, 2025 and the DJ Gary Perl's Rock-ON DJ Service and I would NEVER recommend them. They interrupted the officiant, they did follow the schedule that was presented to them. The bridesmaid music for them to walk in was interrupted and the DJ did not announce the process. The bride and father walking in was disrupted as well. When it was time for the toast the DJ's announced everyone go to the bar so we can do a toast which set things back about 30 minutes. The DJ did not follow any of the schedule, they did the anniversary dance and stopped the music at 10 year anniversary without saying anything. The bride and groom dance and the bride with her father dance were stopped before the music was done. The DJ's were very unprofessional in their appearance and persona. Both looked very unkempt, this was a formal black tie wedding. The DJ's were dressed in jeans t shirts and baseball hats. What DJ does not dress appropriately for a black tie affair. The DJ set the scene as if they were doing a casual picnic outside. It was very disappointing for the bride and groom and their families. The mother of the bride did talk to the DJ but he disregarded anything she had to say. Several times they were asked to turn the music down during dinner and they would not. The DJ's treated this event like it was a joke. The brides sister/maid of honor even presented cd's with music to be played for dancing, the DJ refused to play any requests telling the guests no one would dance to that. The DJ's are being paid to create a wonderful experience at the reception and these two did just the opposite. They are not paid to disrespect guests and the families as they did very publicly. Regardless of how long they have been in business or the fact he was a Cleveland DJ back in the 1970's which he kept talking about throughout the reception. They were just the worst DJ's I have ever seen for wedding reception.
