Photo of Singer Guitarist Singer Guitarist "Brendan is a wonderfully talented and professional musician. He performs well with all age groups: teaching, writing songs for musicals, children, adults...with insight and creativity. He is a fun and entertaining performer, who delights his audience. He is such a brilliant guitarist! I highly recommend Brendan's gigs." Based in Devonport, Tasmania (44 miles from Launceston) Jen Photo of Ivan Beecroft music Ivan Beecroft music "Huffington post Review by Randy Radic From the Land Down Under, where “women glow and men thunder,” comes Ivan Beecroft, who has a new single out, called “Believe.” It’s the first release from his forthcoming album. “Believe” is a song about the complexities of human relationships. Ivan’s music and lyrics are inspired by his time as a steelworker, a vocation that opened his eyes and his conscience to what was going on around him. Turning to music was his way of coping with the inequities of life. Stylistically, Ivan writes and sings retro rock from the 1990s, with heavy influences from grunge pop music. And if you listen closely to “Believe,” you can hear just a hint of Pearl Jam in the tune. The way Ivan phrases smacks of Eddie Vedder, as does the melody. Still, the resemblances are nuanced and not overt or obvious. That being said, the song also reminds, because of the piano, of Billy Joel. It should be noted that Ivan plays all the instruments on the song: drums, bass, guitars, piano and the synth. In addition, he produced, mixed and mastered the song. In other words, Ivan is multi-talented and definitely has an ear for what works and what doesn’t. “Believe” begins with a snappy drum beat, then the piano jumps in and the melody is set. The melody is strong and rides on the wave provided by the piano; the drums carry the beat well, emphasizing the snare which pops with gusto." Frequently asked questions

The average price for wedding musicians on Gig Heaven is $700, with rates from $210 to $2,400+. Pricing depends on the type of musician, the number of performers and how many parts of the wedding day are covered. All-day packages that span the ceremony, reception and evening entertainment typically offer better value than booking separately for each.

The wedding musicians include a huge range of performers suited to different parts of a wedding day, including string quartets, harpists, pianists, acoustic duos, jazz bands, singers and party bands. Many musicians offer packages covering multiple parts of the day.

Most wedding musicians can perform during the ceremony (processional, signing of documents, recessional), the drinks reception, the wedding meal, and the evening party. Some artists offer all-day packages that cover multiple segments. It is advisable to browse profiles to find musicians who match the style and schedule of your wedding.

The most popular wedding musicians can be booked up many months in advance during wedding season. Gig Heaven recommends securing your preferred artists six to twelve months before the wedding date. Less popular dates or midweek weddings may have more availability at shorter notice.

Many wedding musicians are happy to learn a special song for a key moment such as walking down the aisle or the first dance. It is worth making any song requests well in advance to allow time for preparation and rehearsal.

Most wedding musicians are self-contained and provide their own instruments and PA system for standard wedding venues. For larger venues, outdoor ceremonies or marquees, additional amplification may be needed. It is a good idea to confirm equipment details with the musician.
