Space and Setup: I need a small 2m x 2m area and arrive 45–60 minutes early for a seamless soundcheck.
Equipment: I am fully self-contained, providing a professional-grade saxophone and a high-fidelity, compact PA system.
Outdoor Performance: I am happy to perform outdoors provided there is a flat, dry surface and overhead shade to protect the instruments.
Power: Access to one standard power outlet is required (battery-powered options available for remote locations upon request).

Dr. Alfredo Lopes is a Portuguese-Australian saxophonist, composer, and educator who holds a Doctorate of Musical Arts and boasts a career spanning over three decades. An expert in jazz theory and "jazz as process," he has studied under legends like Joe Henderson and performed globally alongside Australia’s elite jazz musicians. His versatile artistry blends 1960s post-bop and free jazz influences with a deep academic foundation, resulting in a sophisticated approach to both contemporary composition and live performance.
Alfredo Lopes specializes in a sophisticated blend of Brazilian jazz, including the gentle rhythms of bossa nova and samba. His repertoire also features timeless jazz standards and tasteful instrumental arrangements.
Normally arrive 1 hour prior to the performance. Music sets operate on 45 minute schedules with a 15 minute break in between.
