About / Biography

Accomplished classical soprano for any event. Online performances/session recordings also available, or opera duo with tenor (Trovatori).

I am a classical singer who has performed in some of the UK's best venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, Royal Festival Hall and Birmingham Symphony Hall working with world-class orchestras and conductors including Sir Andrew Davies, Gianandrea Noseda and Paul Daniel.

With the BBC Singers, London Voices and RSVP Voices I've recorded in Abbey Road Studios, Maida Vale Studios and Watford Colosseum, and also have my own recording studio from which I work with clients from all over the world.

I also enjoy performing at events all over the UK as a soloist for choral societies and concerts, festivals and galas as well as for private events such as weddings, funerals, parties and more.

I have a wide repertoire for clients to choose from, and although I specialise in classical and operatic repertoire I'm open to singing songs and pieces from other genres too. My extensive performance and event experience guarantees peace of mind for each client that I work with, and my passion for music comes across in every performance!

Here's my formal biography:

Caroline started singing after graduating from Durham University with a degree in music specialising in composition. Her operatic roles have since included the title role of Tosca for Heritage Opera; Fiordiligi (Cosi fan Tutte) for Opera UK and Birmingham Chamber Orchestra; Queen of the Night (Die Zauberflöte) for British Youth Opera and Surrey Opera; Clorinda (La Cenerentola) and Adina (L'elisir d'amore) for Vox Lirika, Tatyana (Eugene Onegin) for Birmingham Chamber Opera and Gilda (cover) (Rigoletto) for Heritage Opera. She played the Lace Seller (Death in Venice) in the Aldeburgh Festival, directed by Yoshi Oida; a role she also performed at the Bregenz Festival where she also appeared as the ZDF Director and Airport Officer in Benedict Mason's Playing Away, directed by David Pountney.

As a concert performer Caroline has sung in venues including the Royal Albert Hall, Royal Festival Hall, Birmingham Symphony Hall, Cadogan Hall and Queen Elizabeth Hall as well as in performances on BBC Radio 3. She has worked with world-class orchestras such as the Philharmonia and BBC Symphony Orchestra under the baton of conductors including Sir Andrew Davies, Gianandrea Noseda, Robert Ziegler and Paul Daniel.

She has sung as a soloist internationally performing works including Brahms' Requiem, Haydn’s Creation, Mahler's Symphony No.4, Mozart's Exsultate, Jubilate, Vivaldi's Gloria, Handel's Messiah, Schubert's Magnificat and Wagner's Wesendonck Lieder.

As a session singer Caroline has sung with the BBC Singers, London Voices, Voices Unlimited, RSVP Voices and Conventus and is now also a session performer online, recording her voice and compositions for clients around the world. Caroline and her husband Darren perform internationally together as the duo Trovatori. She has received coaching from David Syrus, Mary King, Anthony Legge and Donald Maxwell and continues her vocal studies with Arwel Treharne Morgan.
