Ensemble dependent!

What time should we report, where should we park, is parking free or paid, where does load in occur, is there an elevator, do they include a meal for the musicians, what are the acoustics like, etc.

If booked on top of one of our ensembles we can absolutely include a sound and lighting package.

The best gig we have ever done is in collaboration with Netflix! We were hired by Netflix to provide the ceremony music for the Love Is Blind Ohio season weddings and some of our best musicians were featured on the show! It was amazing to work with such a large company and to have our musicians and our arrangements featured on one of the countries most popular TV shows. One of our favorite venues is Jorgensen Farms in New Albany, Ohio. They are a very popular wedding venue in the Central Ohio area, but they always have the most stunning weddings.

Weddings! We love to play weddings- in fact we probably send 5-10 groups out to weddings every weekend during our busy season!

Malik, our company owner, has a diverse musical experience including a Doctorate in conducting from The Ohio State University and experience as a pianist, violinist, and music director for local professional theatre companies. He started gigging with Columbus Musicians under the previous ownership and then took over the company a few years ago. His combined experience of musical leadership and professional performance had put him in the perfect position to take over Columbus Musicians and manage it efficiently. Malik and his team are well networked in the Columbus professional musician scene, and so they work with the best and most trusted musicians in town for all of their ensembles.

We love Taylor Swifts music at Columbus Musicians and so do our clients!!! Classical string arrangements of her music are so stunning for wedding ceremonies, and they hit home every single time. We also love any string rendition of pop songs (think Bridgerton vibes)!

For our most common bookings which are string ensembles and smaller combos, we typically arrive 30 minutes to an hour before the event start time. Musicians will set up their instruments and stands where the clients would like them. If the client has purchased a sound package, an experienced sound engineer will be arriving with the musicians or earlier to get that set up. We normally book music for any time period between 1 to 4 hours for a set rate. It is possible to book longer, but that is more rare and we would come up with a custom rate for the client.

Yes, under most conditions we are happy to perform outside! We do have some certain requirements for our string instruments, as they are sensitive to temperature, humidity, and moisture. However, we normally can work with clients to find a solution that works for an outdoor event or ceremony.

Clients can absolutely customize their setlist! They can choose songs from our extensive repertoire list as well as inquire about custom arrangements of songs we may not already have. We also offer a musicians choice setlist, where we pick from our most popular songs in the case the client would like us to choose the setlist for them.

Previous clients have said that our music turns their great wedding into their fairy tale wedding! They absolutely love the live music we offer and they have said we made the day magical!!!

We book a wide variety of ensembles including string ensembles, piano ensembles, vocal combos, jazz combos, saxophone and DJ duos, and full blown party bands.

Absolutely! Think of your wedding as a completely customizable event. For example, you can hire a string trio for your ceremony, a jazz combo for your cocktail hour, and a party band for your reception! We offer so many groups that you can tailor your event to be exactly what you want.

We offer set rates depending on the ensemble and the number of hours the client books us for. Our rates increase as the number of people in the ensemble increases and as the number of hours for the booking increases. We have a document on our website outlining our rates for all our most commonly booked groups!
