If it's a stage show, then I'll need a performance space/stage.
If it's roving magic, I don't need anything really.
For a stage show, whether they have a stage, microphone and sound system to connect to for my performance.
What the seating arrangements are to work out if the venue space is good for a stage show.
No I do not. Lighting is not required for my show.
A simple stage area is sufficient where I can place my case and stand. If you want people to join me on stage then we'll need more space.
One of my favourites was performing close up roving magic for Maserati’s International Women’s Day event, entertaining their female clients. It was a genuine privilege to be trusted with that. The venue was right on Circular Quay with the harbour in full view through the windows, hard to beat that as a backdrop.
Corporate events are my favourite. There’s something satisfying about injecting real fun into what’s usually a pretty formal setting, and giving employees and clients something interactive and engaging to experience that isn’t just the usual food and drinks affair.
It started as a hobby. I got asked to do a few birthdays, then weddings, then corporate events, and it snowballed from there. Over 15 years later, I now perform full time for companies, weddings and private celebrations across Sydney and NSW.
I genuinely care about people and make a point of trying to remember their names while I’m entertaining them. The magic is only part of it for me, actually getting to know the person in front of me matters just as much. The 15+ years of experience and the five star reviews are nice, but that’s the bonus, not the point.
For stage shows I arrive early to ensure everything is setup from stage to sound.
Roving Magic I arrive 15-20 minutes before my start time, but this all depends on the event.
Happy to perform outside as long as the weather permits and it's not windy
Clients most often describe the show as “mind blowing,” praise the skill level directly (“the tricks were incredible,” “extremely skilled”), and call me a true professional who’s great with a crowd. “Highly recommend” shows up in almost every review, and plenty say they’re still talking about a trick weeks later.
I have customisation options where the company can be highlighted, or special guests spotlighted as part of my routines and magic.
