Our story
We are Iselin and Eirik. We met on Bali and spent years helping students go abroad, living and working in France, Spain and Bali along the way. Now we use that same experience to help couples get married abroad. The agency was born when Iselin planned her own wedding on Crete: after speaking with dozens of venues and planners, she realised how hard it was to get personal service and clear answers. We started Destinasjonsbryllup so other couples can skip that stress.
Where we plan
Crete is our home ground, and we have personally visited and filmed many of the island's most beautiful venues, from olive estates to sea-view villas. Santorini and the rest of Greece, France, Italy, Spain and Bali are also part of our offer, as well as weddings and private events in Norway.

Whether you are planning an intimate ceremony for 20 or a three-day celebration for 150 guests, we would love to hear about your plans.
If you already have a venue in mind, we would love to know its name and location, the date you are considering, your expected number of guests and whether you want the ceremony and reception in the same place. If you have not chosen a venue yet, that is no problem at all. Just tell us your dream destination, budget and style, and we will suggest venues that fit you.
As planners and coordinators we do not need any equipment space or power. We simply need access to the venue a few hours before the guests arrive so we can oversee the setup, brief the suppliers and make sure every detail is in place. A contact person at the venue on the day is also very helpful.
On the wedding day we usually arrive several hours before the ceremony to coordinate suppliers, decoration and timings, and we stay until the main parts of the celebration are done. How long depends on your package and programme, and we agree on this with you in advance so the day runs smoothly without you having to think about it.
Yes, we are a registered company and work with insured, professional suppliers at every destination. We are happy to share documentation on request.
One of our most memorable experiences was our recent venue tour on Crete, where we visited and filmed nine stunning venues, from olive estates to sea-view villas. Our favourite is Reveli in Kalathas near Chania, a beautiful venue with views over the sea. We love it so much that Iselin has chosen it for her own wedding in 2027.
Destination weddings are our true passion. There is something magical about bringing family and friends together in a beautiful place abroad and turning a wedding into a shared experience that lasts for several days. Intimate weddings on Crete with long tables, olive trees and a sunset over the sea are especially close to our hearts.
We met on Bali, where we worked together for several years helping Norwegian students study abroad. Between us we have close to 20 years of experience planning and coordinating abroad, and we have lived in France, Spain and Bali. When Iselin started planning her own wedding on Crete, she spoke with dozens of venues and planners and found it hard to get personal service and clear answers. That became the start of our agency. We are a small, personal agency, so you always have the same two planners by your side from the first meeting to the wedding day. We have personally visited the venues we recommend, we speak several languages and know the local culture, and we are open about real costs. Our budgets always include local taxes, which many venues leave out, so there are no unpleasant surprises. We negotiate with suppliers on your behalf and treat every wedding as if it were our own.
Absolutely. No two weddings are alike, and we shape everything around you: your style, your guests, your budget and the atmosphere you dream of. Whether you want an intimate ceremony for close family or a multi-day celebration with welcome drinks and a farewell brunch, we plan it your way, including cultural traditions and special wishes.
We offer three packages. Essential is for couples who want to plan most of it themselves and includes 3 to 5 handpicked suggestions per supplier category, our digital wedding planner, five planning meetings and advice along the way. Full Service covers all planning from A to Z, including venue, suppliers, budget, timeline and coordination on the wedding day. Bespoke is our luxury option with tailor-made design and exclusive venues. Every couple also gets a free introductory meeting before booking.
For destination weddings we recommend getting in touch 12 to 18 months before the wedding, as the most popular venues on Crete and in Southern Europe book up early for the summer season. That said, we can often help with shorter timelines as well, so it is always worth asking.
