We are a mom/daughter duo. We play classical music and amplified pop/rock music with tracks, including new arrangements of popular music. We are experienced string players who cater to weddings, receptions, banquets, parties and all social events. We are available to play between 1 and 5 hours. We have a long list of repertoire which customers can choose their music from. In addition, we will take up to five requests. We are fun and social duo who remain professional at all functions.

Playing with the Bee Gees at Whistler Bowl and performing with Diana Krall in Calgary.
We love to play at all sort of events, it keeps us inspired and excited to meet new and different people from all walks of life.
Mary Jane has performed in various countries including the U.S.A., Canada, Germany, Spain and Taiwan. She has also performed on Cruise Lines including Holland America and Princess Cruises. She has performed many times with the Vancouver Symphony at the Orpheum and Whistler Bowl as well as several concert stages in New York, Calgary and Edmonton.
Mary Jane's first gig was when she was 16 and performed for Prince Philip in Suffield, Alberta.
Maria's first gig was for the Toronto Kids Fashion Show and since then, she has played for weddings and parties.
Both Maria and Mary Jane have been influenced by several past composers such as Brahms, Schumann, Bach, Vivaldi and many performers today such as James Ehnes, Hilary Hahn, Yo Yo Ma and Hauser.
There are so many great songs, we could never pick just one!
We set up 20-30 minutes before the performance time.
We can perform outside if the temperature is between 15-30 degrees. We need shade from the sun and protection from rain, wind or other weather extremities that may damage our instruments.
We will play the music that clients request.
Clients describe our performances as delightful, enjoyable, endearing and classy.
Stages are of course very nice! However, it's fine to have musicians on the floor in a designated area that is large enough for the group.
