I bring all of my own PA gear, fully self-contained, including lighting if necessary. I can provide portable AC power for remote, outdoor events, if informed ahead of time.
I can provide prerecorded or streaming music (Spotify, Pandora, etc.) before and between my sets. I am happy to choose the music myself or let the client choose the music.
I've performed for small, intimate, indoor home dinner parties, as well as outdoor park concerts. My best gigs were at the Orange County Fairgrounds, at the Margaritaville stage, and also the local church Fall Festival events.
Public events are the most fun for me, because the audience is such a wide, eclectic blend of listeners. My music resonates with everyone at least once!
I've been a singer/musician for over 50 years, starting in high school. While I was a church choir director for over 25 years, I was also in many duos, trios, rock, and country bands throughout all those years.
My favorites include John Denver, Jim Croce, Simon & Garfunkle, the Eagles, Jimmy Buffet, Roy Orbison, among others. Actually too many to zero in on just one! The same goes for songs - it's too difficult to pick one or two favorites!
I can set up and be ready to perform within 30-40 minutes of arrival. I can perform from one to four hours per gig. Typically, my first set is 60 full minutes, followed by a 15-minute break and 45 minute set for each additional hour.
I am happy to perform outside if there is shade and power provided. I also have the ability to bring my own 10x10 pop-up canopy and portable power if arranged ahead of time.
I have a repertoire of some 250+ songs, and I'm happy to take requests if I know the song or artist being requested. Certainly, clients can cherry-pick requests from my set list/repertoire, too.
