Depends on where the show is, but typically we are fully set up with backline and for smaller events we have a sound system (wedding, coporate)
What they offer for acts. Warm meals, a couple drinks.
basic sound and lighting
yes
I have played a lot of national openers on big stages like the House of Blues Boston. Those are always fun, its a different energy, but I also like doing acoustic shows and weddings, weddings are a big day for folks and its a pleasure to be part of that.
I love most events, from clubs dates, festivals, weddings, there is something special about each one.
I started performing professionally when I was 12 years (getting paid) singing in malls. My current project I have been doing since 2012. My father and uncle were touring musicians.
Almost an impassible question to list because there are always new artists that inspire me or that I appreciate. Here is a short list from youth to present. Elvis Presley, Beatles, Bruce Springsteen, Bryan Adams, Dwight Yoakam, Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, Wayland, Chris Isaak, Nirvana, STP, Peaches, Unwritten Law, Dierks Bentley, Brothers Osborne, Old Dominion, Cody Johnson, Austin Meade,
Houston Bernard is a nationally touring independent country artist whose roots run deep in classic and modern country music. Born in Oklahoma and raised in Alaska, Houston grew up surrounded by a family of working musicians. His father and uncle toured with and backed country legends including Tanya Tucker, Wanda Jackson, and Sleepy LaBeef, and his uncle Johnny Bernard co-wrote “Muddy Mississippi,” which appeared on Reba McEntire’s platinum album Reba Nell McEntire.
Carrying that lineage forward, Houston has developed a dynamic sound that blends:
contemporary country
rock energy
heartfelt storytelling
blue-collar authenticity
His music draws comparisons to artists like Eric Church, Dierks Bentley, and Brothers Osborne, while maintaining a distinctive voice all his own.
Has performed across the United States, headlining festivals, fairs, theaters, and private events.
Has opened for major artists including:
Luke Bryan, Old Dominion, Clint Black, Brett Young, Brothers Osborne, Mon
Depends on the type of charity events at 7am, and have started as late as 10pm-11pm until 2am.
I can do 1 small set up to 4-5 sets, but typically if we do a full night for an event it is 3x45 min sets.
Definitely, my goal is to make sure its warmer than 65 degrees and cooler than 95
I have a master list they can choose from and we can learn 2-3 country songs included with the rate, after that there is a fee per song. I like to keep to country, southern rock and in some occasions classic rock.
Honestly, I have been flatter by "You exceeded our expectations" My goal to bring people up, help them dance, sing along all in all have a great time.
I do not typically list clients, a lot of weddings, private events, charity events, house concerts, national opening slots, festivals, clubs. Since 2012 (for this project)
