With our project OKAN we've performed at Tiny Desk . We've also have toured internationally and performed with symphony orchestras. The best venue has been the Lincoln Center.
All sorts of events. We are looking more into Corporate and wedding cocktail sections.
Originally we are a Cuban-Canadian band. The name of our main project is OKAN. We decided to create this project Havana Bloom since we moved to Florida. We are looking to perform not only our music but also traditional cuban music and music that moves us. We've traveled the world and we are JUNO Award winners. (JUNOS are Canadian GRAMMYS). We cannot wait to bring our experience and joy to you.
We have many influences from Michael Jackson to Beny More, Celia, Cruz, La Lupe, Beyonce, Whitney Houston, Laura Mvula, Janelle Monae, Ella Fitzgerald, among others.
35-40 minutes to set up. Although we could do sooner like 30 mins.
performance times vary depending on the budget and event.
We could do indoor or outdoor. I f outdoor a small shade is appreciate it. We would need a power supply close to the performance area.
We have a repertoire but we welcome suggestions. If we know it, we play it.
Joyful and energetic. Suitable for all kinds of settings. We can also go mellow if the occasion calls for it.
