Havana Roots blends traditional Son Cubano with the irresistible rhythms of Jamaican roots music. This orchestra is known for taking classic Cuban tunes and giving them a fresh, new twist using reggae grooves and the upbeat energy of ska.

We formed in December 2022 with the aim of celebrating Cuban music and Caribbean rhythms such as reggae and ska.
We re-arranged classics that we love and our first gig in 2023 in a packed room that danced from the start.

Normally we have a 90 minute set.
We are happy to perform outside.
It's a set repertoire, as we play very well arranged songs for a 9 piece band.
