I bring my own musical instruments and small personal equipment, but for larger events, sound and lighting equipment can usually be provided by the venue or event organizer. I can also work with the venue’s existing setup and provide guidance on what’s needed to ensure the performance sounds and looks great. For smaller gigs, I can bring a portable speaker or amplifier if required
Yes, I can provide a Spotify or DJ-style service before and between my live sets to keep the audience engaged and maintain the atmosphere. I can create playlists tailored to the event’s theme or vibe, ensuring smooth transitions and continuous entertainment
The best gig I’ve ever done was performing at a large community Christmas concert where I got to play my saxophone live for a very enthusiastic audience. The energy and connection with the crowd made it unforgettable. The best venue I’ve worked at was [insert venue name, e.g., a church auditorium, concert hall, or lounge] because it had amazing acoustics, a great stage setup, and a warm, welcoming audience—it really let me bring my music to life.
My favorite type of event is one where I can really connect with the audience and create a memorable experience—like weddings, community celebrations, or intimate live music sessions. I love seeing people enjoy the music and feel the emotions it brings, whether it’s a joyful celebration or a reflective, soulful moment
I started gigging when I realized I could share my passion for the saxophone with others and create memorable experiences through music. My previous experience includes performing at weddings, church events, community concerts, private parties, and corporate events. I’ve worked both solo and with bands, adapting to different audiences and settings, which has helped me develop a versatile and professional performance style
I’ve been most influenced by artists who bring emotion and storytelling into their music, like Kenny G for his smooth saxophone style and John Coltrane for his innovative jazz techniques. My favorite artist is Stevie Wonder, because of his soulful melodies and ability to connect with listeners. As for the greatest song of all time, I’d say ‘Imagine’ by John Lennon it’s timeless, inspiring, and carries a powerful message that resonates across generations.
I usually tailor my performance to fit the audience and atmosphere. For a celebratory event like a wedding or birthday, I focus on uplifting, joyful music that gets people smiling and engaged. For formal or intimate events, I adapt with smooth, soulful, or relaxing music to create a comfortable and memorable experience. I can also adjust my setlist if you have a specific vibe or theme in mind
My typical setup time is around 30–45 minutes, depending on the venue and equipment available. This includes setting up instruments, sound checks, and ensuring everything is ready for a smooth performance.
My performance sets usually range from 30–60 minutes, but I can adjust to fit the event schedule. I can also provide multiple shorter sets with breaks or continuous music between sets if needed
Yes, I’m happy to perform outdoors. I just need to know a few details in advance, such as weather conditions, power availability, and suitable space for setup, so I can ensure the performance goes smoothly and the equipment is safe.
I usually have a set repertoire prepared, but clients absolutely have a say. I can customize the setlist to include specific songs, genres, or styles they prefer, ensuring the performance fits the mood and theme of the event.
Previous clients most commonly describe my performance as professional, engaging, and heartfelt. They often mention that my music creates a memorable atmosphere, connects with the audience, and adds a special touch to their event. Many also appreciate my versatility and ability to adapt to different moods and settings
Some of my recent clients include weddings, private parties, community events, and corporate functions. I’ve worked with venues, churches, and event organizers to provide live music that fits the mood and theme of each occasion. I can provide references or recordings of recent performances upon request.
I’ve performed at a variety of venues including churches, community halls, private residences, wedding venues, corporate event spaces, and small concert halls.
