Swinging trio with Guitar, Double bass and Saxophone

This jazz trio has a real jazz sound, thanks to the saxophone. For many of our clients, the saxophone is the ultimate jazz instrument — which is why this line-up is also available to book at the Jazz Central Agency.

The sound of this jazz trio is most reminiscent of recordings by the great saxophonists of jazz history: Ben Webster, Dexter Gordon, Stan Getz, and others. You'll recognise many of the songs they recorded!

Volume: from subtle to nicely present

The volume of this jazz trio can be subtle, making it perfect for your dinner party, for example. Do keep in mind that a saxophone is naturally a somewhat louder instrument — so if the volume needs to be very soft, you'd be better off with a line-up without saxophone, such as one of our duos or the Piano Trio.

Thanks to the saxophone, this jazz trio can also play at a nicely full volume when necessary or desired. The jazz guitar is connected to a small amplifier, so the guitarist can turn up the volume too — naturally, only when the situation calls for it. The deep sound of the double bass, meanwhile, carries well almost anywhere.

Compact and roaming

This jazz trio with guitar, double bass, and saxophone is very compact — we need no more than about 2 by 3 metres. And because this line-up has no large, heavy instruments such as piano or drums, this jazz trio is also 100% suited to roaming performances.

This jazz trio is particularly well suited to events or parties where we need to move once or more during the performance — for example, from one room to another, or from one floor to another. Because so little equipment is involved, we can move our instruments without any difficulty. If desired, this trio can also perform fully mobile: the guitarist then carries a small, portable amplifier slung across his body like a bag. The double bass and saxophone don't need to be amplified at all.
