Agnes is one of the vocalists at the Jazz Central Agency. With her beautiful voice, she performs the most stunning bossa novas, the liveliest sambas, and wonderfully swinging Latin tunes. Like all of our musicians, Agnes is a professionally trained jazz vocalist with a conservatory education.
Agnes can be added to many of the Jazz Central Agency's ensemble formations. Paired with a piano and double bass duo, for instance, she creates an intimate atmosphere for your dinner or small reception. Or with our classic jazz quartet, for a full, swinging sound at your party. For smaller gatherings, hiring Agnes with just a jazz guitarist is an equally tasteful choice — a particularly intimate setting in which her sultry tones, accompanied by guitar or piano, fill the space in a refined and stylish way.
Agnes specialises in bossa nova – that wonderfully sultry, rhythmic style of jazz from Brazil that rose to fame in the 1950s and 60s, thanks in no small part to the beautiful songs of Antonio Carlos Jobim ("The Girl from Ipanema"), Astrud Gilberto, João Gilberto, and many others.
Thanks to Agnes, the Jazz Central Agency can offer you something truly special: bossa novas sung in the original Portuguese. This adds a whole new dimension to this Brazilian music. While most vocalists in the Netherlands only sing English-language versions of these songs, Agnes performs a beautiful bossa nova repertoire in its original, enchanting language.

We need a performance space of at least approx. 3 by 4 meters. A normal 230V power socket is required.
We need to know any directions that will help us find the venue and find the right place to load in our equipment.
Yes, weâre completely self contained. We bring our own PA system to all of our gigs as well as a simple lighting rig.
Yes, weâre happy to play music from our curated playlist before, after and between our sets.
Usually we arrive 60 minutes in advance. In general we are booked 2-4 hours, but other time frames are always to be discussed. Weâre happy to play a bit longer or shorter but weâve found that these set times suit us and our audiences best.
Weâre happy to play outside but we ask for shade, a flat level surface and a power supply close to the performance area.
You can easily let it to the pro's to decide which song to play, so you can focus on other important things and your guests!
