One of the vocalists of the Jazz Central Agency is Agnes. With her beautiful voice, she performs the most stunning bossa novas, the liveliest sambas, and wonderfully swinging Latin tunes. Like all of our musicians, Agnes is a professional jazz musician with a conservatory education.
Tasteful for Nearly Any Occasion
You can include Agnes in many of the Jazz Central Agency ensemble formations. For example, with a piano and double bass duo for an intimate atmosphere during your dinner or small reception. But also with the classic jazz quartet for a full swinging jazz band at your party. For truly small gatherings, it’s also tasteful to hire just a jazz guitarist with Agnes. This creates a particularly intimate setting, where Agnes's sultry tones, accompanied by guitar or piano, fill the space in a refined and stylish way.
Specialist in Bossa Nova
Agnes specializes in Bossa Nova – that wonderfully sultry, rhythmic jazz music from Brazil that rose to fame in the 1950s and 60s. Thanks in part to the beautiful songs by Antonio Carlos Jobim ("The Girl from Ipanema"), Astrud Gilberto, João Gilberto, and many others.
In the Original Portuguese
Thanks to Agnes, the Jazz Centrale can offer you a unique quality: she sings the Bossa Novas in the original Portuguese. This adds a whole new dimension to this Brazilian music. While most vocalists in the Netherlands are limited to English translations, Agnes can perform a beautiful Bossa Nova repertoire in its original, enchanting language.

We need a performance space of at least approx. 3 by 4 meters. A normal 230V power socket is required.
We need to know any directions that will help us find the venue and find the right place to load in our equipment.
Yes, we’re completely self contained. We bring our own PA system to all of our gigs as well as a simple lighting rig.
Yes, we’re happy to play music from our curated playlist before, after and between our sets.
Usually we arrive 60 minutes in advance. In general we are booked 2-4 hours, but other time frames are always to be discussed. We’re happy to play a bit longer or shorter but we’ve found that these set times suit us and our audiences best.
We’re happy to play outside but we ask for shade, a flat level surface and a power supply close to the performance area.
You can easily let it to the pro's to decide which song to play, so you can focus on other important things and your guests!
