As a professional radio presenter, JD developed an intimate knowledge of contemporary music which he now brings to the stage as he rips out those forgotten classics that make you go "WOW" and he takes you back to your first school camp ... or your first kiss ... or getting brought home to your parents by the cops ... We all love to reminisce!
Let's talk about the show. You'll know all the songs because they were all hits ... but what sets Jon apart is his CHOICE of these songs; those classic hits that we all know and love. Essentially JD plays the songs that most other performers can't ... or simply don't know!
Jon's style is beer drinking, foot-tapping, country-ish songs that we all know the words to ... but he is a seasoned pro so he can really turn his hand to almost anything. JD's usual show will contain plenty of Pink Floyd, The Eagles, The Beatles, The Highwaymen, Eric Clapton, Travelling Wilburys and many of those Sun Studio and Abbey Road hits ...
As Jon owns a recording studio, he knows how to get the best sound available no matter what the venue; indoors or out. Jon generally performs with acoustic 6 and 12 string guitars in combination with his crooning 'radio' voice for which he has become famous. His state of the art PA system can accommodate an audience of up to 500 people and he also brings appropriate stage lighting if required.
Let's be honest, JD is an 'A Grade' entertainer and while that does come at a premium, you get what you pay for. So if you need an entertainer who engages with the audience (rather than just being a guy in the background) ... You need Jon Davis

I've toured the world an played at some amazing places but the best was a little island in the Caribbean called Isla Mujeres ... breathtaking!
My preference is sophisticated corporate events ... but then I am just as comfortable performing in the outback at a dusty old rodeo and camp-draft...
I grew up with a mother who was a concert pianist and music teacher so my classical background gave me a strong understanding of music theory. My first band (Grand Wazoo) comprised the hottest session musicians in Australia and this was the standard that understood to be the norm! Since then I've toured domestically all over Australia plus Asia, Europe, Mexico, the USA and other little spots. The highlight for me was being invited by The Kenny Rogers Band to record my songs with them as my backing band in Nashville.

I arrive several hours before a show to set up and sound check then return to the venue fully dressed and ready to be on stage 30 minutes before the show
Happy to play outdoors as long as there is no exposure to 'Hot' sun or rain. I need a groundsheet minimum 3m x 2m if I am performing on earth to minimise dew rising and dust.
I try to avoid requests. Not because I don't like them but I like to tailor my show to create a mood with highs and lows (Dynamics) and having to play 'The Venga Bus' in the middle of it just ruins the event for everyone else!
Most clients LOVE what I do. Often when I'm out of town I will sit in at a venue for a song or two and I generally find that management immediately takes my number. This is exactly how I get introduced and established in Mexico...
