Technical Info

What are your basic technical requirements?

We require a small performance space (approx. 2m x 2m) and at least 2 standard power sockets for our guitar amplifier and rhythm pedal/looper. For venues with sound systems, a direct input or microphone line is preferred.

What information do you require about a venue?

We need details on load-in access, parking availability near the performance area, and whether there is an existing sound system or if we should coordinate with the main event DJ/sound technician.

Do you provide sound and lighting equipment?

We typically integrate with the venue's or event DJ's sound system for our performances. For smaller or independent setups, we bring our own acoustic amplification and rhythm gear.

Can you provide a Spotify/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, we are happy to coordinate background playlist playback before and between our live sets, or work seamlessly alongside the event's main DJ.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever worked at?

Performing international live music across multiple continents and iconic destinations has been incredible, and locally, playing refined acoustic sets at upscale venues and private clubs around Montreal always brings a special, elegant energy.

What's your favourite type of event?

We love playing all sorts of events, but upscale weddings and private cocktail receptions are our favourites. Setting the mood with sophisticated jazz, bossa nova, and smooth modern pop creates an unforgettable, classy atmosphere for guests.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

My professional journey started through rigorous jazz and classical training, performing internationally as a multi-instrumentalist on luxury cruise lines, and building a career as an educator and performer across Montreal and beyond.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

Deeply influenced by jazz legends like Stan Getz, Soltrane, Stitt and Cannonball, we love blending timeless harmonic sophistication with fresh pop hits from artists like Dua Lipa and Stevie Wonder, bringing a unique acoustic spin to every performance.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

We normally arrive 1.5 to 2 hours before the performance to set up and soundcheck. We typically perform flexible sets tailored to the event schedule, such as ceremony processional blocks or 2 x 45-minute cocktail sets, and we are always happy to adapt to the timeline.

Are you happy to perform outside?

Yes, we are happy to perform outside as long as there is shade to protect our instruments, a flat and level surface, and a nearby power supply for our amplifiers and gear.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

Clients have full flexibility! They can choose from our curated repertoire list of jazz, bossa nova, and reimagined modern hits, and we are happy to learn and arrange specific custom songs (such as processional tracks) for their special day.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

Previous clients commonly describe our performances as elegant, sophisticated, and incredibly romantic, praising the smooth blend of saxophone/flute melodies and acoustic jazz grooves that elevate the atmosphere of their events
