I am a professional saxophonist offering live music for weddings, private events, corporate functions, restaurants, cocktail hours, and special occasions. My performances are tailored to fit the atmosphere of each event, whether you’re looking for elegant background music or an engaging, high-energy experience.

I perform on alto and tenor saxophone and can provide a wide range of styles including jazz, smooth jazz, pop, R&B, funk, soul, classic rock, and contemporary hits. I’m happy to customize song selections to match your vision — from laid-back cocktail hour vibes to upbeat sets that keep guests entertained.

I come fully prepared and professional, with optional sound equipment for small to medium-sized venues. I work closely with clients, planners, and venues to ensure smooth communication, timely setup, and a stress-free experience on event day.

My goal is to elevate your event with tasteful, memorable live music that complements the moment and keeps guests engaged. I take pride in being reliable, easy to work with, and adaptable to any setting.

Technical Info

What are your basic technical requirements?

I require a small performance area (approximately 6’ x 6’ or larger) and access to a standard electrical outlet within reasonable distance of the performance space. If I am providing sound, one dedicated outlet is sufficient. Setup and breakdown are quick and unobtrusive.

What information do you require about a venue?

I ask for the venue address, load-in instructions, parking details, and the location of the performance area. Please let me know if there are any sound restrictions, volume limits, or specific setup times required by the venue. Outdoor events should include a covered performance area in case of weather.

Do you provide sound and lighting equipment?

Yes. I can provide a professional, high-quality sound system suitable for small to medium-sized indoor or outdoor events. Lighting is not typically required for saxophone performances, but basic lighting can be discussed if needed. I’m also happy to plug into an existing sound system or DJ setup if preferred.

Can you provide a Spotify/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes. I can provide curated background music before, after, and between sets using professional playback equipment. Playlists can be customized to match the style and energy of your event.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's your favourite type of event?

My favorite events to perform at are weddings. Being a part of and elevating this special day for people is an absolute blast and I love getting into it with the crowd!

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

I’ve been performing on saxophone for many years and have extensive experience playing weddings, corporate events, cocktail hours, private parties, and live music venues throughout New England. My focus has always been on creating an energetic, engaging atmosphere that fits the event—whether that’s classy background music or high-energy dance sets.

I started gigging by playing live shows in college with my friends, and since graduating have now specialized in regular bookings for weddings and corporate events. Social media has also played a big role in expanding my reach, allowing clients to see exactly what I do through live performance videos before booking.

At this point, live events are a major part of what I do, and I’m very comfortable adapting to different crowds, venues, and vibes to make sure each event feels unique and memorable.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

My favorite saxophonist and where I think my playing gets the most inspiration from is Grover Washington Jr. who famously played "Just the Two of us"

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

My setup typically takes about 30–45 minutes, depending on the space and whether I’m using my own sound system or plugging into an existing setup. I always plan to arrive at least 60–75 minutes before performance time to allow for setup, soundcheck, and to be fully ready before guests arrive.

For performances, I usually play in sets rather than nonstop—for example, 45–60 minute sets with short breaks—which helps keep the energy strong throughout the event. That said, I’m very flexible and can tailor the performance length and timing to fit the flow of your event (cocktail hour, dinner, dancing, entrances, etc.).

I’m happy to coordinate with planners, DJs, or AV staff to make sure everything runs smoothly.

Are you happy to perform outside?

Yes—I'm happy to perform outside as long as a few basic conditions are met.

I just need:

Cover from rain or direct moisture (tent, awning, or covered area)

Reasonable protection from direct sun for the instrument and equipment

Access to power if I’m bringing or using sound equipment

As long as those are in place, outdoor performances are no problem at all, and I’ve done many outdoor weddings and events. I’m always happy to coordinate in advance to make sure everything is set up smoothly.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

Clients absolutely have a say in what I play.

I have a broad repertoire of popular, crowd-friendly songs that I regularly perform, but I always tailor the music to the client’s preferences, the crowd, and the vibe of the event. You’re welcome to request specific songs, styles, or even a short “do-not-play” list.

If there’s a special song you’d like featured (for an entrance, first dance moment, or highlight of the event), I’m happy to prepare it in advance whenever possible. I also read the room during the event and adjust in real time to keep the energy exactly where it should be.

My goal is to make sure the music feels personal, fun, and perfectly suited to your event—not a one-size-fits-all set list.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

I’m often told my performances are high-energy, polished, and a lot of fun, but honestly the best way to describe it is that the reviews speak for themselves. Past clients consistently mention the vibe, professionalism, and how the live sax really elevates their event.
